I wrote a short story about Expectant Father Psychosis ™️ and environmental collapse, and I’m so delighted that it has now found a home at @bombmag.

Endless thanks to @raluca___a for her brilliant edits, and to @amynormalee for letting us use one of her beautiful paintings as the accompanying artwork.

No Kings, Jackson. March 28, 2026.

I was grateful for the opportunity to gather with hundreds of impassioned Wyomingites of conscience—as well as dozens of incredible people from the Wyoming Immigrant Advocacy Project @wyomingiap, Teton Indivisible, the Wyoming ACLU @aclu_wyoming, JH Happenings @jh_happenings, JH Pride @jacksonholepride, and more—to speak/shout about our sheriff’s department’s cooperation with ICE, our town’s network of billionaire MAGA donors, the Teton Area Rapid Response Network @tarrnjh, and what resistance and solidarity can look like in Jackson.

Last month, Omar El Akkad’s ONE DAY, EVERYONE WILL HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AGAINST THIS deservedly won both the National Book Award and the Palestine Book Award.

If you’ve spoken to me at any length over the past year, you’ll know that I consider this book to be the most profound and impactful cri de coeur of this horrific era.

It’s a searing indictment of Western institutional complicity in the most appalling crime of the 21st century, as well as a powerful meditation on the horror, despair, and guilt so many of us felt watching a genocide unfold on our phone screens for two straight years.

On Thursday evening, I’ll be in conversation with Omar as part of Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library’s Book Talk Conversations Online series. I hope you can join us.

For the past 22 months, small town newspapers across the country have been republishing syndicated op-eds by some of the most ghoulish, right-wing, pro-Israel voices in America. I was disturbed by the frequency and ubiquity of these op-eds in my local paper, so I wrote this letter, which the Jackson Hole Daily was kind enough to publish. I hope my Jackson friends will take a minute to read it and think about what matters to us as a community, and what voices we allow to represent us.

Jackson is a wonderful town in so many ways, but it is also a grotesquely unequal playground for some of the worst people in our nation: retired War on Terror politicians. MAGA mega donors. Weapons & mass surveillance tech billionaires (one of whom, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, is being fêted in town tonight).

These people launder their reputations through our arts & culture institutions.

They vacation in our national parks before endorsing the policies that aim to destroy them.

They ask to be left alone, here in their tax haven mansions, while funding an administration that rounds-up our undocumented neighbors.

And we let them.

The op-eds I’m decrying here (the left-bashing, genocide-denying, inequality-justifying ones) aren’t for us. They’re for them.

So I guess what I’m saying is this: if you’re uncomfortable with your local paper republishing hateful articles designed to placate billionaires and make boogeymen of peace activists, say something.

If you don’t want MAGA donors serving on the boards of your local arts institutions, say something.

If you think local businesses cheerily hosting the same people who are hell-bent on deporting your neighbors is wrong, say something.

We are many. They are few. 🦬 by @danpsheehan

Please join us this coming Monday, August 5th, at 6PM outside the Teton County Library, to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine, with the Palestinian and Arab-American residents of Teton County, and with everyone in our community who wants to see an end to Israel’s horrific assault on Gaza. ❤️✊🏼🇵🇸 by @danpsheehan

Téa’s beautiful, haunting, magical new novel THE MORNINGSIDE is out in the world today.

I will always be amazed and enraptured by the beauty of her sentences, the knotty humanity of her characters, and the transportive power of her storytelling.

I’ve said it before and it remains true: she conjures wonders when she sits down to write.

THE MORNINGSIDE is a marvel, and I can’t wait for you all to read it.

Happy Pub Day, my love. ❤️🎉🌇 by @danpsheehan
