This Friday marks one year since I joined Amplio. It’s amazing how much can change in a year. A year ago, I was completely stressed out. Work just wasn’t enjoyable anymore. After spending most of my career in this business, I honestly wondered if that spark was still there. Then I started talking with Trey and Taha about Amplio and what they were building. And I felt it again. When I joined Amplio, I felt like a kid on his first day of school. New company, new people, new ideas and a chance to start building something again. A year later, I actually look forward to going to work. The days fly by. There is always something new to work on, something to figure out and another problem to solve. And I realized something along the way. I still absolutely love this business. I love walking into a plant for the first time, looking around at everything and figuring out how it all works. To me, it’s like opening up a brand-new puzzle and figuring out how to solve it. Apparently after all these years, that part never gets old. I’m incredibly proud of what our team has built in just one year, but even more excited about where we’re going. Trey and Taha, thank you for taking a chance on an old guy like me. 😂 I’m looking forward to many, many more years. If you had told me a year ago that I’d be excited to go to work again, I would not have believed you. But here we are. And the best part? We’re just getting rolling. Watch Out! by @danr_comics

⚡️ JACK KIRBY / THOR PROTOTYPE ALERT ⚡️ This weekend on Whatnot I’m putting up an INCREDIBLE piece of comic history starting at just $1 👀🔥 🛸 Tales of the Unexpected #16 (1957) Featuring the legendary story “The Magic Hammer” — considered by many collectors to be a prototype/concept precursor to Thor years before his official Marvel debut! This issue has become a sleeper favorite among Kirby fans because you can already see the seeds of the mythology and themes that would later evolve into the Mighty Thor. Early Kirby sci-fi + weird mystery storytelling at its absolute best. 🔥 Classic alien cover 🔥 Golden Age/DC sci-fi suspense 🔥 Jack Kirby prototype concept history 🔥 Tough-to-find 1950s DC book This is the kind of book that hardcore collectors LOVE digging out of dollar bins… except this one is already found for you 😎 💥 STARTS AT ONLY $1 THIS WEEKEND 💥 📍 Whatnot Seller: Danr 👇 ENGAGEMENT QUESTION 👇 Do YOU consider “The Magic Hammer” a true Thor prototype? OR What’s your favorite pre-Marvel Jack Kirby comic? Tag a Kirby fan who would lose their mind over this one ⚡️👀 #JackKirby #Thor #PrototypeThor #TheMagicHammer GoldenAgeComics SilverAgeComics TalesOfTheUnexpected DCComics ComicBooks ComicCollector ComicCollection VintageComics SciFiComics ComicBookCommunity Whatnot WhatnotSeller ComicAuction KirbyCollector ComicBookAuction RawComics PreMarvel MightyThor ComicBookInvesting GoldenAgeSciFi ComicFam Danr 1950sComics Kirby ComicDeals OldComics by @danr_comics
