Chicago, where do I even begin?

Race morning, I felt an unexpected sense of calm. Just ready to run the race I had trained so hard for. I trusted my training, but above all, I respected the marathon. Nothing was owed to me. Every mile and that finish line had to be earned.

And Chicago made sure to remind me of that.

We didn’t get the time we came for, and the last 8 miles were a battle, but we never gave up. A new PR by over 20 minutes and memories I’ll carry forever.

This weekend was about so much more than a finish time. The people, the laughs, the love, and getting to experience my first World Major with those who mean the most to me.

Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, whether you donated, shared miles, checked in, or cheered me on. Special thanks to @miles_for_more and @downtownrungroup for helping make this journey possible.

I came to Chicago chasing a time, but I’m leaving with so much more.

Chicago Marathon 2026: chaotic from beginning to end 😂

Did we hit our sub-4 goal? Nope. Did we leave it ALL on the streets of Chicago? YOU BET WE DID!

From mile 18 to the finish, the cramps were BRUTAL, but quitting was never an option!

The more I run, the more I realize running is never just about running.

It’s about the people who make room for you, the conversations between miles, the community that cheers you on, and the small acts of kindness—like an aid station exactly when you need it.

Choose your runner!!!! Mario Kart … Running edition?!?!? I had so much fun editing this video but not as much fun as I had running and vibing with my friends 💖🥹 I mean we had real, life obstacles from flooded trails to fallen trees and humidity worthy of a video game 😭🫪 Now miss @strava girl, can you add a flyover with friends? That would help any future vid edits 🙂‍↕️🤣 So thankful my peeps decided to agree to this!!!
