For the past few months, we made the decision to close on Sundays for the first time since opening in 2019. It meant the world to us to have even a small amount of time to rest and spend with our family.

The photo we’re sharing is from right before we got the store. the moment when this dream was still just beginning for our family.

When we opened this store, it was never just about running a business. This store is my dad’s dream. It was built with years of hard work, early mornings, late nights, and the hope of creating something meaningful for our family and our community.

Those Sundays off became really special to us. After so many years of nonstop work, they were a chance for our family, especially my dad, to slow down and spend time together.
But the reality is that running a small family grocery store right now is incredibly challenging. Rising costs and the pressure small businesses face every day have made things really tough.

As much as my dad will truly miss having Sundays off, we’ve realized that if we want this store to continue, if we want to keep this dream alive, we have to do everything we can to keep the doors open.

So starting this week, we will be reopening on Sundays.

This wasn’t an easy decision for our family, but keeping the store going and making sure it’s here for the future means making sacrifices sometimes.

Every single person who chooses to shop with us is helping keep this dream alive. Your support truly means more than you know, and our family is incredibly grateful for this community that continues to stand by us.

If you’re able to stop by this Sunday, we would truly love to see you. Even the smallest support makes a bigger difference than you might realize.

Seven years ago, our dad took a leap of faith and took over Dan’s Farmers Market with a dream, a small family store built on hard work, community, and the hope of continuing something special for our city.

This month, we celebrated 7 years in business, and more than anything, we feel grateful… and emotional.

This year has truly been one of the hardest ones for us. Like many small businesses, we’ve felt the weight of rising costs, constant changes, and challenges that sometimes feel overwhelming. There have been days that tested us more than we can put into words. On top of that, our family faced personal challenges as our dad dealt with health issues that forced us to slow down and really reflect on what matters most.

But even in the hardest moments, one thing has never changed: the love and support from this community.
Every time you choose to shop with us, recommend us to a friend, stop in just to say hi, or share kindness with our family, you are the reason we’re still here. You are the reason we made it to 7 years.

Many of you have asked about our dad, and we’re so grateful to say he’s doing much better now and will be back in the store very soon, right where he loves to be.

Dan’s Farmers Market has never just been a grocery store to us. It’s our family’s story, our dad’s dream, and a place built with sacrifice, long days, early mornings, and so much heart poured into every single year.

Thank you for standing with us through the highs and the lows. Thank you for choosing local, for choosing family, and for choosing to support us even when times have been hard.
We’re going to keep showing up, keep working hard, and keep fighting to keep this dream alive for as long as we can.
