Happy 8th Birthday to our beautiful Melody! 💙🩷🎉

Today, on Juneteenth, we celebrate not only a day of freedom, hope, and joy, but also the day our sweet girl came into the world and made our lives brighter than we ever imagined.

Melody, you are a burst of color, creativity, laughter, and love. You fill every room with your beautiful smile, your endless imagination, and your kind heart. Whether you’re creating art, splashing in the pool, sharing candy with friends, or making everyone around you laugh, you bring happiness wherever you go.

You love all things blue and pink, and just like those colors, you make our world brighter every single day. We are so proud of the thoughtful, caring, funny, and adventurous young lady you are becoming. Your love for your family, your friends, and everyone you meet is one of the many things that makes you so special.

Eight years ago, we were blessed with the greatest gift—YOU. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. Never stop dreaming, creating, laughing, and being the wonderful person you are.

Happy 8th Birthday, Melody! May your day be filled with love, laughter, swimming, sweet treats, fun adventures, and all the happiness your heart can hold.

We love you more than words can ever say.

Love always,
Mom & Dad ❤️🎂🎨🌈🩷💙✨

🎧 Now Playing — “Teardrop” by Dante Bacote

📅 Release / Project
“Teardrop” is a standalone release that fits naturally into Dante Bacote’s emotionally grounded R&B catalog, where honesty comes before polish.
💭 Lyrics Meaning
Teardrop captures the moment right before emotions spill over — when you’re holding things in, knowing they’re about to surface. The song doesn’t dramatize pain; it observes it. Dante sings from a place of quiet vulnerability, touching on emotional weight, reflection, and the small cracks that reveal how much something still matters. It feels less like heartbreak and more like emotional clarity.
🌍 Artist
Dante Bacote is an R&B artist known for his raw, introspective songwriting. His music often sits in that space between soul and contemporary R&B, where feeling takes priority over perfection. With Teardrop, he leans into subtlety, letting sincerity guide the record.
🎹 Prod
The production stays restrained and atmospheric, built to support the emotion rather than compete with it. Soft textures and gentle rhythms give the song room to breathe, allowing every line to land naturally. by @dantebacote

#CoverGirl album drops on September 26th! Full translation of the article below:

“As a teenager, she toured with Missy Elliott, and later Ol’ Dirty Bastard rapped on one of her songs. But over the last two decades, Nicole Wray has evolved from an R&B prodigy to a soul visionary—with a voice that effortlessly connects the past and the present. On her third album, Cover Girl, disco meets gospel, modern beats, and very personal lyrics. It’s a sound that celebrates life itself and family. The artist has also chosen her selection for Bazaar under this motto. It includes the dancehall anthem Flex by Mad Cobra, because it reminds Wray of a summer evening long ago: “I was 16 and I felt this sense of freedom and pure euphoria.” Or Drake’s Rich Baby Daddy (“the perfect soundtrack for nights on the town”). Shirley Bassey’s Where Do I Begin provides moments of reflection, while Lee Fields’ soul ballad Wish You Were Here has a very special meaning: “I dedicate this song to my late father-in-law. He is loved and will live on in our hearts forever.”
Between Studio 54 and childhood memories: The soul diva knows the big stages and the quiet moments in between—both of which are reflected in her playlistshe curated for this issue of Bazaar.

“I’m a big fan of the old-school soul artists. They have a certain charm that you just can’t find in today’s music.”
