Entangoment 🕷️🕸️“Entangoment” serves as a true testament to the sum being much more complex than the parts of which it is comprised. Once something is summed or entangled, it becomes anew — a rebirth. Though, when a system is formed, intricate beings must respect and acknowledge the power of the simplest forms that shape their webs of existence.This work is a contemporary Argentine tango (a dance of connections) that entangles and unravels paradigms of space, sound, and structure through a dance of silk – woven by the song of a harp-playing spider. The dancers are visualizing a sonic piece of media that was generated through scanning and mapping a spider web’s physical properties to transform the data into auditory information. This bio-inspired piece explores the interposition, or the “in-between,” within and between these different systems: structural, sensorial, and gender. The threads that connect these subjects are the rigidity and stability from a construction’s tensile characteristics. Such qualities lie trapped between overly defined and interlaced components that are in tension. Now, observe how a composition can break free from the space that contains it and the demands that control it. Heed this narrative of spider and silk. Break free from the web. by @dantedivines
