On Father’s Day I normally share my favorite picture of my dad and I, but this time I’ll share my favorite memory.

This is a picture of me and him circa ‘99 just before we boarded a train (with a sleeper car!) from Orlando to Washington DC. I absolutely LOVED the train ride and the sleeper cabin!

When we got to DC and checked into our hotel (which I later realized in reading The Pelican Brief that it was famous) we realized that it was super quaint and didn’t even have a TV. Padre told the staff that he was allergic so that we could re-book at a more modern hotel.

We walked the Mall and saw multiple museums. That wasn’t really dad’s thing but it was my thing so he did it. The whole time he was present and we both had the best time!

My daughters never got to meet him, but they still know him as papa Ken. I wish that he could know Chloe’s smile and artistic talent (he loved to doodle!) and Kia’s silliness and empathy. They will still continue to get to know him through the stories that my family and I tell.

My favorite part of Father’s Day is the handmade cards. Normally only Chloe does it, but Kia got in on the action this year!

Took Kianna to SeaWorld for her birthday. It’s amazing to see how much joy sea animals bring her. Actually all creatures (insects, reptiles, mammals). We got to pet sting rays and dolphins, feed seals and dolphins, and see penguins, flamingos, sharks, seahorse, turtles… she was in heaven! We all had so much fun! by @dantesinfernal

Got to see the very first show of the very last @theyare68 tour, and I couldn’t have hoped for more. They played for about 2 hours! They are a live show not to be missed, and the loudest and fullest 2-piece you could imagine.

Just the most recent pictures capturing the amazing mom that @tiffany.m.kelly is. She’s the constant that keeps us all afloat. Our girls adore her (and often prefer her), and I couldn’t dream of a better partner to raise our kiddos with. by @dantesinfernal

Great vacation with my favorite person to New Orleans last week. There’s noone I’d rather explore a city with. We had some great food, saw some great art, architecture and music and most importantly spent some quality time together. I love you, Andy! Thanks for making time for us. 💕 by @dantesinfernal
