We all need an extended break after Hallowe’en, and what better way to relax than getting cozy and crafting at Danu! On Monday, November 2nd at 7pm, special guest host @catsandgalaxies is taking over for @haniniford who can’t miss any more choir rehearsals. Every first Monday of the month, get creative, hang out with other makers, and share tips and inspiration. All crafts and skill levels are welcome but please bring something that is easy to clean up and take home at the end of the evening. And a light if you have one — it can get dark in the bar. Remember to also bring some cash ($1-$2) so we can make a donation once we reach $50. We donated to Parkdale Project Read last month! #torontocrafters #torontocraft #torontocreators #torontocreator #torontoartists by @danusocialhouse
We're having a launch party on December 2nd for the first issue of our magazine where you'll be able to grab a copy! We've got some sexy and talented bands lined up, @nothinghappenedhere_music & @kingsofourkin are both Toronto based bands who will be playing live at @danusocialhouse Townie Vol 1. is a magazine about Toronto's muralists. Featuring interviews with the artists themselves, the mag is studded head to toe with their own art in the gorgeous print medium! Our writers wanted to contextualize the Muralist community within those who create this city's culture through their art and engagement with local communities and understand their passions, struggles and their pillars of support. Townie is an independently funded magazine with a diverse and stylish selection of writers and artists, we write about the intersection of culture, community & power. We're super excited to be showcasing what our first issue has to offer, so we hope you will come join us! Event Starts: 7pm Date: Wednesday, Dec 2nd 2026 Location: 1237 Queen West, Toronto, ON by @danusocialhouse

🍂 Fall Traditions 🍂 For the past few years, it has been a tradition amongst the staff and regulars to get together on a cozy fall night and watch an incredible show near and dear to many of our hearts. This year, we’d like to invite everyone to participate. Come by on Wednesday, October 28 and settle in as fun seasonal movies play in the background — but at 8pm we will be switching over to show our feature presentation, Over the Garden Wall. If you haven’t seen it, you will quickly discover why so many of us look forward to this fall tradition year after year. If you have seen it, we invite you to dress up, sing along, and indulge once again in this incredible piece of art. No cover ever. This night is welcome to all. Popcorn will be available with the bar and kitchen open all night! #parkdale #parkdalelife #torontonights #torontofall #westqueenwest by @danusocialhouse

Thank you to everyone who came out to Pen Cap on Tuesday! One of our biggest nights to date, with a bunch of new readers showing up to share their work. We heard short stories, essays and poetry about musical dryers, CAPTCHA purgatory, spreading ashes in Paris, memories carried in denim, killing the devil, and so much more. Missed us this time? We’ll be back every first Tuesday of the month, to hear whatever you can read in 10 minutes or less.
