"I traced the Greek on his palm while he bled on my skirt.

“Kaleidoscope,” I said.

'Kalos - beautiful. Eidos - form. Skopeo - the eye that seeks.'

'The eye that seeks the beautiful shape.'

I looked straight at him.

"That is you. The beautiful shape.”

He understood.
But he did not believe me."

"Là ci darem la mano,
Là mi dirai di sì:
Vedi, non è lontano,
Partiam, ben mio, da qui.

Vorrei e non vorrei,
Mi trema un poco il cor,
Felice, è ver, sarei,
Ma può burlarmi ancor!"

"There we will hold hands,
There you will say yes to me:
You see, it’s not far,
Let’s go, my dear, from here.

I would like to and I would not like to,
My heart trembles a little,
It’s true that I would be happy,
But he can mock me still!" by @dany.giry.art

"I have borne the burden of cruelty,
and longing has torn away my veil.

You pull me forward from one side,
while my chains pull me back from the other.

For all my learning, I am powerless
to cure the pain of longing;
and for all my reason, I remain ignorant
of any remedy for love." by @dany.giry.art
