Melted coconut oil degrees means: 🗣️IT’S HOT!!! Tis the season of sun, beaches, no seasonal depression and vacations to tropical locations!👀 Y’all knew that right!?!
Well if you don’t know, now you know.

I was putting the coconut oil away from some baking and I realized how warm it was outside. So I thought, now’s a good time to remind y’all that even though the world looks bleak… Mother Nature is still doing her best to shine for us. A walk outside and some exposure to the sun can change your entire mood!

So yea… she outside. You comin? If so, get in loser… we’re getting some vitamin D and releasing happy hormones! 🤗💋

Welcome to @snacksandslaps_ a page that pairs a good snack 🍽️ with a lil jam in the background to slap🎶 through your speakers.

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m just a food nerd obsessed with making new recipes, playing in the kitchen, inspiring others to cook and giving my time to teach along the way.

I do culinary instruction, private lessons, intimate catering, private chef work and food education. There are 3 things I love in my life: food, music and travel. And I’ve loved them since I was a child. So this space will be dedicated to all of that as I journey to write my first cookbook, travel the world as a student of food and come home to play in my kitchen just like the child inside asks me to do.

Will you join me on my journey? If so, hit follow and come along. ☺️👩🏾‍🍳

Plan A: travel the world, see food globally, enjoy nature, find community and be loved well

Plan B: Refer to Plan A.

I didn’t do a 2025 recap but I woke up reflecting on all the places I explored last year, because it’s my dream come true. My ancestors couldn’t even sit in the same rooms as white people, let alone on a plane and travel the world like them. So I gladly take up space all over the globe. I enrich my life, my mind and my palate. It’s my “Plan A” to enjoy my life fully and there’s no 🙅🏾‍♀️ backup plan.

So if you lookin for me… a map is handy… cuz I’ll be gone. Where to next, good people? Who’s trip can I hop on? 🧳😏✈️

@chunk_foods has really got a hold on me… a choke hold to be honest! 😮‍💨

I haven’t had beef in well over a decade. I honestly don’t remember the last time I ate red meat. What I do know though, is the plant based market is changing the game with sustainable protein alternatives that blow me away. Using soy protein as a base and beet juice for color, I appreciate ingredient lists that are short and use ingredients I know. So in the new year if your goal is a Meatless Monday, joining in on Veganuary, or simply eating less red meat… I promise you, @chunk_foods has a cut for you that will absolutely please the palate.🤌🏾💋

Been in my kitchen workin on my book and talking to folks about it. I can’t tell you how many people think I eat just salad and beans…
Nahhhhhh beloved. Not meeeee. I COOK! In my kitchen we season, stir fry, sear, roast, marinate, emulsify, bake, broil and have a blast over here! When the book comes, you’ll see. 😏👩🏾‍🍳
