When we teach the game the right way, every player on the field has a role and a responsibility. We still encourage individual brilliance, but within a collective structure. There’s less panic and more composure, clearer decision making, and real purpose in what we do. A possession based approach gives players the freedom to be creative while understanding the game.

The players who go far are the ones who understand the game: what to do with the ball, when to do it, where, and how.

I play soccer ≠ I am a soccer player.
Anyone can do the first.
Only thinkers of the game become the second.

A smart player is a creative player!

When players move the ball with awareness, the game becomes easier, and more enjoyable.

Possession soccer highlights everyone.

The same can’t be said about kickball.
