To my baby who isn’t a baby anymore, but who reminds me, “Mami, I’ll forever be your baby.” ❤️

Today you start Kindergarten. You’re taking the bus, making new friends, learning new things, and navigating a whole new world that feels so scary to us…But that you’ve been so excited for.

You always say I teach you so much, but the truth is, you came into my life to teach me everything about life. Through the way you see the world, your endless curiosity, the way you care so deeply about everyone around you, and your love for animals, nature, and protecting our planet. 🌎🐾

I hope you never stop asking questions, learning random facts and loving people with that big heart of yours. I hope this world is kind to you, you make all the friends your heart wants, and you love school as much as I did.

Nicholas Mateo, you’re the best brother, the best son, and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Noah is already missing you so much, wishing he could follow you right into Kindergarten. He’s never known life without his big brother by his side, and I know this new chapter will be an adjustment for his little heart too. ❤️

I hope you find everything your little heart is looking for in this new adventure. I’m so proud of the big, brave boy you’ve become, but most of all, I’m proud of the kind soul we raised.

My baby is going to Pre-K 3! 🥹 I mean… HOW?

How do I even explain what my heart feels? I don’t have babies anymore, but somehow, I still do. And in Nico’s words, “Mami, I will always be your baby.” ❤️

This is a year of big changes for our family. Nico and Noah have been inseparable… The very best of friends and now Noah will be heading into Pre-K 3 without his big brother by his side, while Nico starts his Kindergarten year.

I know it’s selfish to want them to stay little forever. To stop time just long enough so I can hold them really tight one more time… Before they’re too busy trying to eat the world, exploring everything, and maybe not reaching for my hand quite as much. 🥹

And then there’s Noah. Our little force of nature. 😂 The child we somehow don’t have to worry about as much because he is SO independent, very, very outspoken about exactly what he needs, and absolutely does not care about pleasing anyone. 😂 He’s the leader, the family boss, and at the same time the sweetest, kindest little boy.

Obsessed with animals, superheroes, his brother, his daddy, his Mamita (grandma) and his Mimi (big sister Mia), good-quality snacks 😂, and saying hello with a BIG ROAR. 🦁 His people are his whole world, and he loves them BIG.

My wild, confident, sweet baby… I love everything about who you are.

Go be exactly YOU in Pre-K 3, Noah Rafael. We are so incredibly proud of you and everything you are becoming.

Mi amor,

Dijiste que tal vez tu amor nunca obtendría el premio de mis besos…

Y míranos.

Hoy tus besos son mi hogar.

Dijiste que me querías sin palabras, en secreto.

Y hoy entiendo que los amores más grandes no necesitan hacer ruido; se construyen en los pequeños momentos, en los días comunes y en la vida que hemos creado juntos.

Bendecías las horas que te traían mis recuerdos.

Hoy soy yo quien bendice cada hora que puedo compartir contigo.

Escribiste que, sin mirarme, podías verme.

Him. On my hardest days, he keeps me afloat. He’s my 90% when I’m a 10%, and he makes my life better, not harder. What a man, what a husband, what a dad. ♡

To the man I thought I chose for me, but deep down I knew I was also choosing for my children. And somehow, you became even more than I could have imagined.

You’re not just their father… You are present in every single step. In every game, every hug, every lesson, every hard day, and every victory. My children will never have to wonder what it feels like to have a present father, because they get to live that love every day through you.

Thank you for protecting us, for providing for us, and above all, for always putting us first. Thank you for loving us so fiercely and so selflessly. The greatest gift I’ve ever given my children wasn’t a home, a vacation, or a perfect life.. It was choosing a man who would love them as deeply as you do.

Back in February, I didn’t even know what HYROX was.

I was dealing with hormonal issues and looking for something that would motivate me to stay active, lose weight, and start feeling like myself again.

I fell in love with the Saturday classes at @fitbykrista, and within a couple of weeks I kept hearing @claudia_carrea talk about HYROX and watching everyone get excited about it.

On February 14th, I convinced @jgenalopez to sign up with me.

He wasn’t saying yes to a race. He was saying yes to his wife (the one he was watching struggle with her health, confidence, and self-love.)

Five days later, I bought our tickets, and we started training.

My biggest takeaway?

You can run a lot faster in competition when you’ve spent almost 4 months trying to chase your partner in training.

I’m so thankful for Jano. He pushed me, supported me, and reminded me once again that if I jump, he’ll jump with me.

In life, marriage, and parenting, we’re a team.

And we did it.

We even hit my dreamer goal of 1:30 as first timers. Even with a 7-minute penalty because brain fog while running in Zone 5 is very real. 😂

As proud as I am of our time, what means the most is that we got to do it in front of our two boys.

I hope they saw that it’s okay to be scared and do it anyway. That Mom and Dad still chase goals, challenge themselves, and keep showing up.

Thank you to my sister, my niece, my mom @maiditacam, Coach @claudia_carrea for pouring all her knowledge on us, the @fitbodybykrista team, and the inspiring HYROX crew we trained with.

What started as a search for motivation became so much more.

It gave me confidence, memories, and a stronger partnership with my husband.

And the funny thing is, I’m still struggling with my hormones. I didn’t lose any weight.

But somewhere along the way, something more important happened.

I got stronger.

Not just physically, but mentally too.

For the first time in a long time, I feel like myself again.

Because this was never just about finishing a race.

It was about finding myself again. 💜

Happy Mother’s Day to the most wonderful woman. Through every up and every down, you have always stood by my side no matter what. You are one of the strongest and most determined people I know.
Thank you for giving me the two greatest blessings of my life. You brought Nico and Noah into this world and made it a better place because of them. You’ve always been there for them, taking care of them, protecting them, defending them, and most importantly, making sure they always know they are deeply loved and that no matter what, you will always have their backs.
Nico and Noah are incredibly blessed to have you as their mom. And I’m beyond blessed to walk through life with you.
For all the love, all the memories, all the travels, and even all the hard moments we’ve faced together, I say thank you, babe.

Happy birthday to this beautiful soul.
I love you more with every passing day, and I feel truly blessed to have you by our side. Thank you for everything you do for our family and for the way you share your love, patience, and kindness with all of us. Your heart, your strength, and the way you always show up for the people you love never go unnoticed.
Nico, Noah, and I are so lucky to have you. Watching the boys grow up with you in their lives is one of the greatest gifts, and I’m grateful every day for the memories we keep building together.

POV: You came to Cancún to relax…
But your 5 year old tour guide has a full wildlife itinerary planned. Celebrating 5 years of the boy who turns every beach into an expedition and every walk into a safari. He sees magic in the tiniest shells, spots every creature before we do, and reminds us to slow down and notice the little details. Cancún hits different when you experience it through the eyes of someone who truly appreciates the small wonders. And to be honest I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Five years ago, you didn’t just turn me into a mom… You gave my life a new rhythm.
One filled with kitchen happy dances, endless questions about animals that send us down learning rabbit holes, and a free, wild spirit that reminds us to stay curious.

You move through life with open arms and an even bigger heart, always pulling us in close. Our little family-hug addict.
I don’t miss who I was before you, because this version of life, this chapter with you in it, is what happiness feels like.
