Some losses don’t hit immediately. They hit when you realize what you lost can’t be replaced. by @daonenonlyleydis

Be a bottle of water, not a bottle of soda.

Emotional intelligence is learning how to process your emotions instead of bottling everything up until you become reactive. When we hold in hurt, anger, disappointment, and frustration, we can become a ticking time bomb. Then one small thing happens and we explode, not because of that one moment, but because of everything we never dealt with.

People and life will shake you. The goal is not to become emotionless. The goal is to remain grounded, communicate what you feel, and not allow your emotions to control your reactions.

Feel it. Process it. Heal it. Don’t let it build up until you explode. by @daonenonlyleydis
