Raekwon, Ghostface Killah & the Wu (2000)

During the video shoot for Wu-Tang's "Protect Ya Neck (The Jumpoff)" Raekwon the Chef and Ghostface Killah were spotted in custom-made Dapper Dan Gucci Outfits. By 2000, Dapper Dan’s influence was still embedded in hip-hop fashion, and the Wu-Tang Clan was among the artists carrying that legacy forward.

ERIC B (1988)

For the photoshoot of their sophomore album, Follow the Leader (1988), Dapper Dan crafted custom, heavily-detailed Gucci-print leather outfits for the duo. The jackets featured gold-bordered circular emblems on the back spelling out "ERIC B." and "RAKIM" paired with heavy gold dookie-rope chains.

Sonya C, Master P and Romeo Miller (1990)

Dapper Dan’s influence extended beyond Harlem to the West Coast and Down South. Rapper Master P flew to New York City for his birthday to purchase sweatsuits from Dapper Dan. During his early hustling days in Richmond, California, he copped a custom-made Louis Vuitton jacket similar to the iconic Gucci outfits worn by Eric B. and Rakim on their Follow the Leader (1988) album cover.

Dapper Dan Kidz Part 2. (1980's-90's)

Dapper Dan’s clientele extended beyond celebrities and street legends he was also for the children.
Creating custom-made designs for kids, not only adults, Dap dressed the youth in Gucci, Polo and MCM pieces crafted in his 125th Street boutique.
In these photos, the youth are seen wearing luxury logos tailored specifically for them.

Mark Jones (1986-87)

New Haven, Connecticut. Church Street South Apartments, better known as The Jungle.

Mark Jones is pictured in a custom MCM coat and mink hat, designed by Dapper Dan.

Red Head Joey (1980's)

Red Head Joey was one of Alpo Martinez’s closest friends, who was also a legend in the dirtbike culture in the mid-80s. In this picture he wore a custom Louis Vuitton jacket made by Dapper Dan, with Dap also customizing his dirtbike seat to match the jacket.
