This is extremely tough, and I don't even know where to start.

It all happened too fast. We were supposed to pick up right where we left off when I got back from my 6 months in Colorado. I never imagined you wouldn't be there when I return. And it sucks so much.

Trey, I am immensely grateful for your friendship through West Memorial, Fielder, CRJH, CRHS, college, and adulthood. We got to grow up together and experience so many different seasons of life. You had such a gift for connecting with people and remembering the smallest details about them. I really believe that reflected the heart of Jesus in you.

I'm going to miss our walks around the neighborhood, walking to the coffee shop to work like we lived in NYC, going to the gym, running errands, our dessert adventures around Katy and beyond, checking out the newest places in town, having you try my latest baked goods and give me your feedback, eating In-N-Out and Whataburger in the car late at night, laughing about the dumbest things, and just talking about life.

Thanks for being a listening ear, for your honest opinion on everything, for all the airport rides, and for sharing all your latest protein finds and supplements. I'm going to miss sharing random thoughts throughout the day with you. I'm going to miss having you to spam with reels. It's a pang in my heart when I come across something I know you'd find hilarious and realize I can't send it to you and get a response. I'm going to miss your motivation and frequent invitations to work out or get 10,000 steps in. I'm going to miss stalking each other's location and doing random checkins on whereabouts when we're apart. I'm going to miss how you could appreciate the simplest things in life but also loved the bougiest things. And your contagious laugh.

It was all so easy with you. Thank you for always checking in on me and making me feel like I mattered. You had a way of making people feel seen and remembered, and I hope you knew how much that meant to me.

Cancer freaking sucks. I took for granted that when family and friends went to the hospital, they'd come back healed. I wasn't ready for you to leave this earth so soon...

...I'm so grateful I got t by @daph.punk

My first time offshore fishing did not disappoint. With 1 king salmon, 1 halibut, 1 rockfish, and 9 cod, the bar was set pretty high. Valdez, Alaska is incredible!
Pro tip: recruit a local Alaskan kid from the dock looking to have a good time fishing. He’ll take you to all the spots and tell you all the things. Lol
