I love shiny shit and books and I embroider things for a living. I have a dog and he’s my kid and I don’t care if you think that’s weird.

One year post-op; saying yes to gastric bypass surgery is by far one of the best choices I have ever made. Not because of the number on the scale (Scale? I don’t even know her). It’s up there decision-wise, because l’ve never felt more like myself. I’ve never felt so free, so strong, so calm, and so sure about who I am, and what I want out of this life. I’ve worked incredibly hard to get here. I still do, every single day. But I’m okay with that, because I’m okay. Actually, I’m better than okay, I’m good ✨

Also, thank you to the people who - literally and figuratively - stood by my side these past twelve months. I don’t need to name names, you know who you are. There are no words (that’s a lie, I will never be good at summarizing things, and you will always end up with an emotional essay or a podcast - sorry not sorry). You’ve showed up in ways I didn’t even know I needed; you’ve given me the space to take up space. I will forever love the shit out of each and every single one of you ♥️ by @daphnagabay

Me: I really want to take a cute Dobby-in-front-of-the-tree picture, and send it as a real paper Christmas card to people 🎄

Also me: takes said picture, but forgets to post or print it and send it out 🤓

Anyway, want a 2026 Christmas card? Let me know!

I’ve been 38 for a week and I haven’t got any notes or complaints yet for next years annual progress report. Yeah okay I’ve got a stomach ulcer but I’ll just file that under new adventures. Not bad bish, not bad at all ✨
