Something I kept coming back to while making this project is that no one is going to take you seriously until you take yourself seriously. So- I did something crazy & allowed myself to take myself seriously as an artist (thanks to my gf for the nightly reassurance it’s not embarrassing to pursue your dreams). In doing so, this album truly feels like the first project that is mine & I am so extremely excited for it to also be yours so soon.

My album is out at midnight. (AHHHHH) 💿

Making music before this project has almost always come with more fear than excitement, which makes this release feel so foreign & new.

At the risk of sounding corny, I have to say that being surrounded by such genuine love (my gf & dear diva besties) has given me a sense of safety within myself that I don’t think I’ve ever known before. A safety that allowed me to explore feelings & themes in this project that once felt untouchable. (Which makes it feel almost silly that this is somehow the least scared I’ve ever been to release music!!!)

Getting to make art from a place of feeling safe enough to explore emotion has left me feeling so proud of not only this music, but myself, too!

I hope u like listening to my diary! LOL. 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👩🏽💿🎆

Oh, to be a Star! out in one week. 💿

last weekend I played some of the album to some of my closest friends & it is such a strange & beautiful feeling to make something so true & vulnerable & then hand it over to the world knowing the time it has been only yours is over.

I’ve been the busiest I’ve ever been in my life finishing this project over the past 6 months, but it’s also been such a beautiful reminder of how deeply my creativity is intertwined with working through emotions that sometimes can only be brought to the surface through a melody.

I am so excited to let you in so soon & I hope you handle her (OTBAS) with care. 🎆

making this album over the past little over a year has been truly my creative baby that kept growing & growing more shimmery & pink! dreaming big & being a star! it’s been so fun reflecting on all the projects made from this album & the constant inspiration from being surrounded by so many other creatives throughout the process. 🎆⭐️🎞️
