“From Space to Sanctuary”
Sanctuary isn’t always a place; sometimes, it’s a perspective.

I’m thrilled to announce my body of work, “From Space to Sanctuary,” is now on display at @the_fino_crystalpalace as part of the @reflectionsartfest Reflections Art Festival.

Since 2020, I’ve been documenting the quiet emotional power of the skylights at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre—finding peace in the geometry where the earth meets the sky.

I aim to capture how these structures, beyond their form, act as portals—meditating between inner experience and the external world, fostering a sense of place and belonging.

Triangles have long symbolised stability and harmony—representing the divine, strength, and balance..

Each art work title reflects the emotion captured in my impression of the moment.

To me, these skylights are more than architectural features; they’re silent sanctuaries for the human spirit, evoking connection whether bathed in moonlight or daylight.

My hope is that these pieces encourage us to look closer at the environments that shape our daily lives—to find that quiet, grounding connection in the simple things that often go unnoticed…

A heartfelt thank you once a gain to Reflections Art Festival for the invitation and to the team at The Fino for hosting me.
Beyond being a beautiful space to show work, the staff are wonderful and the menu is a must-try.

Come for the Reflections….AND stay for the coffee.

Note on AI - The voice you hear is an AI-generated version of my own, used for narration. The artworks, however, remain entirely human—captured through the lens and processed by hand.

“The Quiet Axis”

June 2026

The Quiet Axis captures a moment of spontaneous reverence—a hand pressed to the heart, a quiet bow to the space within. Here, stone and light frame an internal quietude so complete that the vast architecture begins to recede.

Music That Lives: A 19th-Century Listening Salon Experience!

As the brand photographer for @musicthatlives, I am thrilled to announce that this groundbreaking project has won the Prestige Award for Live Music Venue of the Year – London & South East.

In the 19th century, the musical salon functioned as an exclusive listening room—a powerful cultural force that completely transformed how music was created, heard, and funded. Before public concert halls became the standard, these intimate gatherings served as the ultimate cultural hubs.

Through her work with Music That Lives, founder Misty Jade has created something truly exceptional and unique: an intimate and atmospheric space that revives that very experience. As brand photographer, I am deeply honoured to support this initiative and capture the sweeping vision required to bring it to life at the historic chapel at Penge Congregational Church.

The initiative breathes life into rare, historically vulnerable instruments—like the John Broadwood and Sons piano circa 1860s—whose delicate mechanical nature makes every performance precious. Surrounded by carefully sourced period furniture, this intimate salon creates an atmosphere where music truly lives.

For those of you yet to experience the magic of the salon, we warmly invite you to step back in time and join us for an unforgettable evening, starting with our next upcoming concert:

Tyler Hay Album Launch on Friday 18 September 2026, from 19:00 to 22:00.

Virtuoso pianist Tyler Hay will launch his new album dedicated to the music of John Field, performing works by Frédéric Chopin, John Field, and Misty Jade, culminating in Franz Liszt’s monumental Piano Sonata in B minor.

Please visit

A post of thanks to @des_photomag for selecting “Serene Sanctuary” as part of their featured finalists for their print Q2 Magazine!

Having recently taken a pause from Instagram and from posting my work, it was such a wonderful surprise to receive the news that “Serene Sanctuary” has been selected as one of the DES PHOTO Mag Featured Finalists for their Q2 print magazine.

It feels particularly meaningful to have a piece of work recognised without having submitted it, and during a period when I’ve stepped away from the noise of social media and have been focusing more on time spent with my camera and travelling.

What I love about DES_Photomag is their belief in talent over ego — valuing the work before the persona.

Their selections are based on “photographic quality, coherence and intent, rather than popularity or online presence”.
It’s a platform I’ve followed and admired from the beginning, and I have the utmost respect for their curation.

The artists they select are wonderfully varied, and the publication has often served as a source of inspiration throughout my own creative journey as a photographer.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing an image I created become part of a physical publication — something tangible, lasting, and made to be revisited.

I’d encourage anyone who values authentic photography and thoughtful, considered curation to check them out.

Thank you once again, DES_Photomag, for the quiet reminder that sometimes, you can step away… and let the work speak for itself.

And a special note of congratulations to @billy.boxus for that remarkable image that so rightly made the cover.👏👏 by @daphneawenham

Absolutely delighted and humbled to be part of The Street Portrait Exhibition, opening on September 5th at the Knapp Gallery, Regent’s University, Regent’s Park curated by the legendary street photographer @victorshohet.

The exhibition brings together the work of 26 INTERNATIONAL street photographers, each sharing their own perspective through a selection of street portraits.

For me, street portraiture has always been about more than simply making a photograph. It’s about connection, observation, trust and those fleeting moments that can reveal something of a person’s character and story. Sometimes the photograph is candid; sometimes it begins with a moment of acknowledgment, a request for permission, or a deliberate collaboration between photographer and subject. Every approach offers a different way of seeing and telling a story.

I’m truly grateful to be among such a talented and diverse group of photographers, and I hope the exhibition offers visitors not only an opportunity to enjoy the images, but also a glimpse into the different ways we see and interpret the people and stories around us.

For those who enjoy storytelling, photography and visual art, come and meet the artists for what promises to be a great evening of conversation, connection and visual storytelling.

Would be wonderful to see you there and to share the evening with you!!

“Finding Breath”
Istanbul, Turkey
June 2026

A group of women stood together, overlooking the Istanbul skyline as the afternoon call to prayer echoed across the city.
My camera allowed me to reveal the quiet tenderness of the moment.
While life unfolded endlessly below, they seemed suspended in time, completely present with one another.
Watching them, I felt that we were all searching for the same thing: a moment to breathe, to belong, and to reconnect—with ourselves, with each other, and with the world around us.
Istanbul is a city in constant motion. Home to more than fifteen million people, it exists between continents, histories, and faiths. The call to prayer drifts across the skyline five times a day, weaving through the rhythm of everyday life as ferries cross the Bosphorus, markets hum with activity, and people move through the city’s streets.
Yet what stayed with me was not its pace, but its gentleness.
Throughout my time there, I was met with countless acts of kindness: spontaneous invitations to share Turkish coffee or chai, moments of generosity offered without expectation, and a quiet grace woven into daily life. I noticed it in the flutter of hijabs and flowing garments in the breeze, the dignity carried in simple gestures, and the visible bonds of sisterhood, brotherhood, and community embedded in the fabric of the city.
While Istanbul never truly stops, I came to understand that stillness and movement are not opposites here. The five daily prayers do not interrupt the city’s momentum; rather, they exist alongside it, creating moments of reflection within its continuous flow.
Soundtrack: Man o To (“Me and You”), inspired by the poetry of Rumi, the thirteenth-century Persian poet. This series is a meditation on unity and love, as it mirrors the shared humanity I witnessed throughout my time there.
