(This picture is taken. 07/8/2026) In 2017, I had a snowboarding 🏂 accident in Japan that tested me in ways I never expected. I suffered a spiral 🌀 fracture of my tibia 🦴 and fibula, 🦴 along with severe damage to my ankle, knee, and lower back-specifically my L4 and L5 vertebrae. I spent an entire month recovering in a Japanese hospital, and it took a full 12 months of grueling rehab before I could finally paddle out to surf 🏄🏿‍♂️ again, the only sport I truly love. Today, I’d say I’m back to about 95% of my former self-and honestly, I’ll take that. Because through it all, I learned one undeniable truth: the greatest disability isn’t in the body; it lives in the mind. the body always follows where the mind leads.#discipline #positive #mindset #lifestyle #surfing taken in Maldives by @dara_ahmed
