Today was the day. ❤️‍🩹

I don’t think a mom can ever fully prepare her heart for the day her baby boy packs his bags, gives you one last hug, and walks away to begin this incredible adventure. I’m so proud of the man he is, and even more excited to see the man he will become through these next two years.

There were tears today (a LOT of tears 😭), but underneath all of them is so much gratitude and pride. Gratitude for 18 years of getting to be his mom. Gratitude for his beautiful testimony, his willingness to serve the Lord, and his courage to leave everything familiar to go share the gospel and love the people of the Dominican Republic.

Talmage, we love you more than you know. We’ll miss you like crazy, but we know you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. Go love, serve, work hard, learn lots, have fun, and bring a little bit of heaven wherever you go.

• E I G H T E E N • Happy 18th birthday to my baby boy!

Talmage, you are everything good in this world. You have a smile that lights up a room and a heart full of love and compassion for others. You have a fun and adventurous spirit and you live life to it’s fullest. You have a strong testimony of the gospel and a genuine desire to lift those around you. I am truly so proud of the man you have become and am so excited for all the incredible adventures that lie ahead for you. • SUMMER HIGHLIGHTS • Lots of boating, camping, golfing, baseball games, rodeos, concerts, trips to Mexico, Chicago, moving Belle into her new apartment, and our annual Miller Park City Week… the BEST moments and memories with family and friends. ❤️❤️❤️ by @darbeebeynon

• LOWLIGHTS OF SUMMER • What should have been a fun, carefree Senior Trip for Tal turned into a long 3 weeks of not being able to eat or drink, excruciating pain, hospital/Dr visits, emergency surgery, and 30 lbs lost instead. He was diagnosed with EOE, an auto-immune disease that caused his esophagus to become covered in painful ulcers and become so inflamed that he couldn’t eat or drink without severe pain and choking. Poor guy! It wasn’t the start to Summer we were planning for, but also feels like a miracle that it happened when it did, after State Playoffs and Graduation but before he left on his mission. We’re grateful for all the prayers offered on his behalf and all the care and concern, gifts, texts, visits, and love given for our sweet boy!! Thanks to modern medicine, Tal is on the mend and we’re praying his daily medication will prevent further flare ups like these in the future! 🙏 by @darbeebeynon

#9 • The way you work and practice even when nobody’s watching (and even with broken ribs!), the way you lead your team as a Captain and example on and off the field, and the way you play with your whole heart each and every day — I want you to know that I’ve seen it all, and watching you play has become one of my life’s greatest pleasures. You’ve not only become an incredible athlete, but a confident, strong and disciplined young man! I know you’re breaking college coaches hearts by deciding to “retire and golf” but I want you to know that I couldn’t be more proud of you! I’ll be your #1 fan forever!! 💚🤍 by @darbeebeynon

Talmage has been called to serve in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West Mission beginning Sept 16, 2026. While this was a shock to all of us (especially to his sister who recently returned from spending a semester there!) we know this is exactly where the Lord needs him to be. Congratulations, Tal.
