Today was a Very Good Day.

Unexpected day off from all of my jobs and I intentionally kept the day open to do as I pleased…
🔆lazy morning lounging in bed
🔆time with my instruments
🔆a surprise four pound bag of Frooties being delivered to me 😆
🔆a little cleaning
🔆dancing around the entire house
🔆finish reading “Black Woods Blue Sky” and it absolutely destroyed my emotions
🔆homemade shrimp alfredo for dinner
🔆ending my day doing one of my favorite things - staring at the sky 😍 by @darbter

Love my mom and her dedication to literally everything she does. Always jumps right in to a task or group, figures out how she can best help, and commits fully for the good of all. And always with a smile on her face and support & genuine care for everyone who crosses her path.

Edited to add: my original post wasn’t clear - Mom is 1 of 10 nominees for adult volunteer of the year. While she did not receive the volunteer of the year award, it was awesome that her hard work was recognized in a room filled with so many other incredibly generous people and organizations! 💖 by @darbter

Happy Mardi Gras!!!
Longing to be in New Orleans again for the Carnival/Mardi Gras season (or any time really).
