these were all moments that have been really great and sometimes mundane in this new chapter taken in Ithaca, New York by @darciwise

and then they were mr. and mrs. the reception… it was so special to get to celebrate with all of our most loved people in the same spot. we danced and we laughed and we sung and we loved. my dear friend @lydgrace22 made our wedding cake, which was a sweet remembrance of the birthday cakes and other special treats she would make me in college. @brickandemberpizza and @homesweetcone kept us well-fed with some of our favorite foods, and so did @thebakeshoppe1948 and @gathertogethercompany x @darling_nic34 ! music was one of the most important parts of the day for me, and it was so fun to have the songs i had chosen hit my ears! caden and i’s first dance song, “ain’t nobody else like you” displays our goofy love so well, and it was so fun to share that piece of us with our friends and family. my high school track coach/caden and i’s calc teacher #djmesz kept the tunes flowing and really added that personal touch to our day. and who could forget #wastesolutionsiowa and #iowaeventsrental for helping out with those wedding details we don’t think too much about but couldn’t do our day without!

and after that? he carried me away to the start of forever! our ceremony was oh so magical. the gospel was preached and the lord was proclaimed over the start of our lives together by our childhood youth pastor! it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. again, so much love and hard work was poured into making this possible. the beautiful benches were built by my dad, along with the wooden cross that was also used in my sisters wedding. so special! our flower grandmas did a precious job, and it was such a fun and unique way to honor them. these are two women that have assisted in laying the path for caden and i to get where we are, and it was an honor to symbolize that with the laying of petals on our path to unity. having both parents join us each down the isle was also very special, a way to symbolize the love and devotion they have equally poured into us. parents are awesome. @emmajgraber also blessed us with a beautiful singing of “how great thou art” during our communion led by a close family friend, and man was that special. we exchanged the rings and cheered, and then we were married!

the moments leading up to our ceremony were filled with so much love, hard work, laughter, and peace. our wedding day went better than we ever could have imagined, and it was a testament to the love that surrounds us. our families months and months of work leading up to this day was applauded in every embrace, every compliment, every smile, and every “this is amazing!” caden and i, along with our loved ones, felt so present thanks to @sadieannreynolds ! she executed the day-of coordinating and behind the scenes work!! our dreams came to life with florals that matched our personality and vision due to the creativity of @shellysarverdesigns ! my bridesmaids crafted the perfect atmosphere of love for me that made me feel beautiful and cared for. my mom, with @107salon, gave us a memorable place to get ready and my dream wedding hair, and my dear friend @lexi.blocher also made sure i felt stunning, and that i looked like me. eek! additionally, @thecarmenattes gifted us with the most perfect content of our wedding day that captures every emotion, and we will hold it closely to our hearts forever! and my dress? #purebridalames ! i had the privledge of wearing jewelry from each of caden and i’s grandmas that are no longer with us, and it was so special to carry them with me on that day.
