🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 / 🇺🇸 : Ungrim Ironfist of Clan Drakebeard, the SlayerKing of Karak Kadrin, is the last of the line of the Slayer Kings that have ruled the keep since his ancestor, king Baragor.
Ungrim bears the burden of the unfulfilled vow made by his ancestor, king Baragor who took the name Ungrim, meaning « oath-bound » or « unfulfilled oath ». By tradition, every king of the Ironfist line takes the Slayer oath. Ungrim is therefore bound by two conflicting obligations as both a Slayer and king - in addition to his duty to serve his city as king, he is also bound to seek out the most dangerous creatures he can find in order to achieve an honorable death in combat as a Slayer.

🇫🇷 : Ungrim Poing de Fer, du Clan Drakebeard, le Roi Tueur de Karak Kadrin, est le dernier descendant de la lignée des Rois Tueurs ayant régné sur la forteresse depuis son ancêtre, le roi Baragor. Ungrim porte le fardeau du serment non accompli prononcé par son ancêtre, le roi Baragor, qui prit le nom d’Ungrim, signifiant « lié par le serment » ou « serment non tenu ».
Par tradition, chaque roi de la lignée des Poings de Fer prête le serment du Tueur. Ungrim est ainsi lié par deux devoirs contradictoires : en tant que Tueur, il est tenu de rechercher les créatures les plus dangereuses afin de mourir honorablement au combat ; mais en tant que roi, il a également le devoir de gouverner et protéger sa cité.

Dwarf Tinkerer
STL kindly gifted by @latenight_miniatures for review but no strings attached.
No deadline, no specific instructions… just the confidence that I would enjoy their work.
And I did !
I absolutely loved painting this little Dwarf in a steampunk style. The sculpt is fantastic, with plenty of character and just the right amount of detail: enough to make the model interesting, but still very accessible and easy to paint.
A couple of things worth mentioning, though:
The tabard didn’t print correctly in 3D despite all our efforts, so I had to rebuild it with Green Stuff… and, well… clearly I’m not a sculptor.
I also would have preferred the miniature to be printable separately from the base for a more comfortable painting experience.
But overall, this was a genuinely fun miniature to work on, and I’m really happy with how this little steampunk Dwarf turned out.

Dwarf Gyrocopter — @highlands_miniatures .

Another machine joins the Dwarf army.
A fun miniature to paint, and surprisingly easy to assemble in resin. The model also feels much more robust than the equivalent Games Workshop Gyrocopter, which is a nice bonus.
Very happy with how this one turned out.

Malakai Makaisson — Warhammer Fantasy, 2004.
A miniature I’ve been afraid to paint for years. Not because of the model itself, but because I was afraid I wouldn’t do justice to such an iconic character and his incredible lore.
Eventually, I gave in to the call of the miniature and did my best with it. He probably deserved even more time on the brush, but I’m happy to finally have Malakai painted. by @darcysminis

THE CAPTAIN OF THE DAW-ZAR BUCCANEERS
The captain is finally taking shape! This one has been fun to paint, with his deep red coat, huge orange beard and his hook.
I wanted him to stand out from the rest of the crew while keeping the same overall identity and colour palette of the Daw-Zar Buccaneers. More to come soon

A huge thank you to my wife @mag_v_ for this amazing gift: the Infinity CRplus Giraldez Edition airbrush! ❤️
I couldn’t wait to try it, so here is my very first test on the captain of my Daw-Zar Buccaneers.
The control and precision are simply outstanding, making smooth transitions and controlled highlights much easier than I expected. I’m still learning, but I’m already excited to push my painting further with it.
A big thank you to @angel_giraldez for inspiring so many miniature painters and for helping design such a fantastic tool!

I recently received these brushes from @goldenmaple_official and had the chance to put them to the test on this werewolf bust!

After using them, I was pleasantly surprised by their quality. They have a great paint reservoir and a fine tip, making them comfortable to use while allowing for excellent precision, even on the smallest details.

A special mention goes to the Size 1 and Size 2 drybrushes—they made highlighting incredibly easy while staying accurate, even on tiny surfaces. Definitely a great addition to my painting setup!
