“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” — Exodus 20:11

I DID IT IN 6!!! 🎓

Not only did I do it in 6, I did it for my mama and the 6 kids she raised on her own. Throughout this journey, I learned the true meaning of faith, patience, hustle, consistency, passion, and NEVER giving up.

I worked 2 jobs — one as a football equipment manager and one as a health aide — while taking 4+ classes for 5 years straight, and I never gave up. When I had a 1.8 GPA my first semester, I never gave up. When my advisor told me I had 2 more years left, I never gave up. Even when life felt overwhelming and I felt like I couldn’t keep going, God blessed me with an amazing foundation. Not just family, but lifelong friends and people I met here who constantly reminded me to keep pushing.

This journey helped me discover who I am and who I want to be, and for that I’m forever grateful.

Coming from the Southside of Chicago, where some friends don’t make it past 18 or even make it to college… being able to walk across that stage means everything.

Dreams really do come true. 🎓✌️ 📸: @_dannnyyyboy_

Some days, “keep going” is the only option.

If you needed this reminder, save it. 🖤
