Rest in Power, Fantan Mojah. 🕊️The reggae world has lost one of its most passionate voices. Fantan Mojah has passed away due to heart complications at the age of 49, just weeks before his 50th birthday. His music of faith, consciousness and African pride resonated deeply with reggae lovers across the globe, including a devoted following in Zimbabwe. May his soul rest in eternal peace. His message and music will never be forgotten. 🇯🇲RASTA GOT SOUL 🕊💚💛❤️👑#fantan #Jamaica #rip #stronger #rastafari by @darealeonegus

When Europeans crossed continents, it was called exploration. When Africans crossed borders, it became illegal immigration.Same act. Different vocab. 🤷🏿‍♂️Words don't just describe reality; they shape it.#africa #immigration #Europe ##southafrica by @darealeonegus

The greatest threat isn't always the one shouting at you. Sometimes it's the one smiling while holding the pen. ✍️🏻Everyone tells Black people to fear the open racist. The one waving the flag, 🇬🇧🇺🇸throwing racial slurs, and making his hatred known. 🤬But history teaches a different lesson. The man who openly hates you lets you see the danger coming. The one who claims to be your ally while controlling the institutions can decide whether you get the job, the funding, the promotion, the housing, the education, or the justice you deserve. One attacks your feelings. The other can shape your future. As Malcolm X warned, the most dangerous opponent isn't always the wolf showing his teeth... it's the fox convincing you he's your friend while leading you into the trap. (Aesop gave lessons on this too).Black people must learn to judge people by outcomes, not slogans. Not by who speaks the nicest. Not by who waves the biggest anti-racist banner.Power matters more than performance.A velvet glove can hide an iron fist.#BlackChildPromotions — 23 years of documenting what many deny and exposing what many refuse to see. ❤️🖤💚✊🏿#malcolmx #institutionalpower #knowthedifference #wakeup by @darealeonegus

You can't expect the youth to walk away from an economy that feeds them unless there's another economy waiting to receive them. If all you offer is moral advice, don't be surprised when survival wins the argument.Africa Liberation Day!!!" Around 10 years ago, @blackchild_promotions were carrying out community outreach work in Shepherd's Bush when we witnessed something that has stayed with us ever since.Up to 10 armed police officers surrounded a young Black man, @sbstrategic . He was restrained, placed in a chokehold, had knees pressed into his back for several minutes, before being frog-marched to a police van. From what we observed, he was not actively resisting arrest, yet firearms officers and Tasers were deployed in a way that raised serious questions about necessity and proportionality. We stayed. We observed. We recorded. Not to interfere, but to ensure there was an independent record of what took place. Sometimes, the presence of witnesses can make all the difference. For many people, this wasn't an isolated incident. It echoed a long history of concerns surrounding the treatment of Black people during police contact. The names of Christopher Alder, Sean Rigg, Roger Sylvester, Mark Duggan, Olaseni Lewis, and Kevin Clarke, Joy Gardner, Cherry Groce, Sarah Reed and many othersremain painful reminders of why communities continue to demand transparency, accountability and equal treatment under the law. Their deaths have become part of the wider public conversation about policing, restraint, and institutional failings. This is exactly why the findings of the Macpherson Report cannot simply be treated as history. Its warning about institutional racism continues to shape debates about policing decades later.Blackchild Promotions has never existed simply to sell books or create content. We have stood on the frontline, documenting, educating, questioning authority and ensuring that our communities know they are not alone.Knowledge is protection and Accountability matters. And wherever we witness an abuse of power, regardless of who commits it, we will continue to document it, challenge it, and expose it.Blackchild Promotions delivering 23 years of documented service to our communities.❤️🖤💚✊🏿#BlackchildPromotions #MacphersonReport #KnowYourRights #armedpolice #books by @darealeonegus

Funny how people are acting like this conversation started in 2026.For some of us, this is over 23 years old.Back in 2003 - before hashtags, algorithms and "political influencers" - we were already asking whether Tony Blair's New Labour had severed the party from its original trade union roots.A party founded to represent organised labour was increasingly speaking the language of markets, corporate confidence and electoral branding. The name stayed the same. The operating system changed.Fast forward to 2026, and the very questions many dismissed back then have returned to the centre of British politics. People are finally debating what some of us were documenting over two decades ago.History has a habit of catching up with yesterday's conversations. This footage is from 2003 on BBC Two, hosted by Richard Blackwood. While others were chasing headlines, we were preserving political memory from a Black British perspective - asking questions our communities were already wrestling with long before social media turned politics into content.#BlackChildPromotions - over 23 years of documented service to our communities, in the real world. We don't follow narratives! We document them.#Labour #NewLabour #TonyBlair #KeirStarmer by @darealeonegus
