I’ve put off writing my “goodbye post” to cheerleading for a while now because I don’t think I was ready to accept that this chapter of my life was really coming to an end.

Cheerleading has been such a huge part of my life since I was 6 years old, and these past 14 years have given me some of the most amazing memories, friendships, and experiences I could have ever asked for. Thank you, cheerleading, for bringing me some of my very best friends, incredible coaches, and teammates who have shaped me into the person I am today.

This is by far one of the hardest goodbyes, but I’m leaving this chapter with a heart full of gratitude and memories I’ll carry with me forever. I’ll always be grateful for the little girl who fell in love with this sport at 6 years old and for every version of me that grew up through it. I may be saying goodbye to cheerleading, but I know a piece of it will always be with me.

Thank you, cheerleading, for changing me for the better. Forever grateful for these 14 years. 🤍 #officiallyretired by @dari.i.herrera
