Selected as part of ‘WalthamStories Chapter #3’ exhibition by @artsnug painting ‘Neon Bunch’.

90x65cm Acrylic on canvas

Inspired by God’s Own Junkyard in Walthamstow, this painting reimagines florals in bold neon hues. Electric colors pulse across the canvas, merging the vibrancy of urban light with the fragility of nature. The work captures a surreal collision—where flowers glow like neon signs.

Fantastic energy at @yes_art_london art fair @bigpennysocial last weekend. It was incredible to meet so many talented artists, make new connections and just be part of fun. Many thanks to fabulous organisers, the event was flawless. Happy that a few pieces found their new homes. I am now addicted to being an exhibiting artist. Till next time

Getting ready for @yes_art_london This was sitting for a very long time and only needed 30 mins to finish. Sometimes the answers come unexpected - The pink got in at the last moment.

Working with layers is fun. It’s always a fine balance between what gets covered and what still remains. It is impossible to plan it all ahead, and next time I shall remember to paint with more diluted acrylic to be able to see the first marks.

Sealing the charcoal sketch to preserve it under future painting layers. Also will be trying lime wash paints I have left from our house restoration. I work in layers and the ability to see layered through is something I want my artworks to offer.

Staying within restricted colours. I find that pre-thinking colours discipline me enough not to reach for all the colours under the sun. This same was painted in pink/green hues and then re-worked into purple. Scroll for close up details…..delicious

Sketches on location made in ink with salt sea water. Back in the studio I created A0 charcoal drawing from memory and then worked with colours. YES - the final painting is inspired by location. NO - it is not a literal representation.

Playing with AI to marry my own styles. Properties of painted artworks are transferred to charcoal sketches. Slightly wild colours and the qualities of lines are loose, but this defo gives ideas. Last picture in this post is the one I started with… by @daria_art.studio

When tired of black and white I turn to colours. You can still spot a sneaky floral pencil sketch done on the same paper. by @daria_art.studio
