On May 18, 2026, I graduated from Clark Atlanta University with my Master’s in Social Work. The beginning of this journey was not in my favor, but God intervened, guided, and protected me throughout the entire process.

This journey has been filled with so many emotions, challenges, and moments of uncertainty, but through it all, God prevailed in the end. I began this process expecting to graduate in 2025 after earning my BSW in 2024. However, struggles and unexpected obstacles arose along the way.

Still, the professors and faculty at Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work supported and encouraged me, allowing me to complete the advanced program over two years instead of one. With God by my side, I was able to defy all odds.

Thank you to my family, friends, and my social work sisters for praying for me, empowering me, and cheering me on every step of the way. Your love and support carried me through.

Dear Clark Atlanta University,
Thank you for the best 4 years of my life. Thank you for all the friendships, memories, growing pains, teachable moments, and educational experiences, and all in all the JOURNEY.

As I embark on my next chapter of life, I am so grateful for you accepting the little girl with a learning disability, who developed her own testimony for others just like her, with open arms.

Thank you for providing professors and instructors to help me through my toughest times and ultimately shaping me into the woman that will be walking across the stage in 18 short days.

While my time as an undergraduate student may have come to an end, the lessons learned, and friendships made, will stick with me for all the years to come.

Thank you for a forever home CAU❤️🖤
