Throwback 2015 BOTY Germany 2vs2

After winning the 360 Flava Anniversary in Philadelphia we got invited to compete one month later at the Battle of the Year Germany 2vs2 Qualifier.

I vividly remember the moment we stepped into the room.
It was the first time I felt like, people know me.
I could recognize who saw the footage of the last battle and who wasn’t happy to see us there.

At this time I started to notice a big difference between the people that understand / appreciate the way I break and the people that really don’t.

We lost in the Final against Hustle Kids (Kid Columbia & Justen) and I have to say, even if we believed we´ll have a chance, we didn’t.

Losing never feels good, especially in the final. But imagine this moment when you’ll upset on one side but happy to have given all you got on the other, and then you have someone you look up to, telling you, that for him you were the best dancer of the night.

Moments like this are priceless and even if I would’ve loved to get the W, I was more than happy to hear this words!

Here are my 4 favourite rounds.

Enjoy

⚖️Breaking Battle Judge #1
DARIO (@dario__1 from @thetribe_breakcrew | @fusionartcrew)

👤Dario

Dario fa parte di The Tribe Crew (Breaking Crew) e Fusion Art Crew (Mixstyle Crew).

Throwback 2015 (the greatest experience)

Winning an Event in the US with my Bro @conni_trommlitz

Eventname: 360 Flava Anniversary in Philadelphia

Small location packed and an unbelievable energy from the crowd, and DJ Fleg was killing it the whole day!
(I would recommend to watch the Clips on YouTube to have a better understanding) Type: the tribe 360 flava

If you would’ve asked anyone after the prelims if we had a minimal chance to win, no one would have bet a $ on us…
But being in the moment enjoying ourselves, going 100% and not giving up, led us to win the event

The slides are in chronological order but I left out a few rounds

My absolute favourite is number 3
This are moments that I can only describe with: being in the moment from A-Z

1st Slide: Top 16 against Lionz of Zion. I bet no one in this room would have thought we would win this battle. I guess this was the upset of the night, and followed by the battle of the night in the Top 8.

2-4 Slide: Top 8 against Beat Whackz. As you can see in the video but not fully it felt like it was us against all Philadelphia. It really felt like everyone wanted to see us lose, and after 3 tie breaks we were able to go to the Semis. This one was for sure the Battle of the night and also a small moment shifter as we really had to give everything.
Honestly I have to say, that even if they wanted us to lose, they still respected us and gave us energy when they felt we did something dope, and that was beautiful to see.

5-6 Slide: Semi Final against Dirty Dozen which also ended up in a Tie Break. I have to say this battle was the greatest exchange.

7-8 Slide Final Battle against TAC. You can’t imagine the relief after this battle, it was the hardest battle to win and the greatest experience ever!

Enjoy!

Reaching the next level (my next level)
As you can see a Dragon Ball Fan 🤣

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to visit a lot of workshops and going to camps.
SDK 2010-2014
Catch the Flava 2013-2016

This picture was taken at Catche The Flava 2015

After years of putting my everything into breaking in 2015 I felt like everything was heading into the right direction, and in this year I got what I would call, my confirmation.

The workshops and the input given was great, but the talks, the exchange or just a simple confirmation when talking about some topics,
the feeling of hearing people you look up to saying things you were saying to your students, or just talked about with your friends at practice, this was lifting up the spirit, and the feeling is unexplainable.

So what I want to say is: Take your opportunities and go learn, put your ego aside.
Especially if you teach, you should be a student FIRST, and a good example for your students! by @dario__1

2015 Throwback series

This time a round from an allstyle battle that I’ve ended up winning

It definetly wasn’t about winning, but to show that breaking is a dance and can easily compete with other dance styles

I love to dance on music that I don’t know and just do literally whatever I feel in the moment

Enjoy!!!

2015 Throwback series

(Short story to begin with)
As already mentioned previously, this was my breakthrough year

After years of knowing each other, respecting our approach and battling against it came together that @thetribe_breakcrew got formed and established as a crew (the name was used before with multiple people around Germany to compete at events)

But now it was time to have a crew with fixed members, that are hungry and want to represent their way of breaking.

IMAGINE that you get the chance to be part of a crew with members that you used to watch and admired for YEARS…. Incredible

So now to the video, things went really fast and we started to represent wherever it was possible.

After winning the German Qualifier of Universal Dancers in Germany the next day we directly went to the final in Strasbourg where we battled against Body Carnival and lost (no surprise 😅)

Here are my 2 rounds

Enjoy!!!

2015 Throwback Series (breakthrough year)

Starting with a Trailer where I’ve put almost all my Signatures together filmed by my Brother @conni_trommlitz who had a lot of Patience fulfilling everything exactly how I wanted😅🫶🏻

The Trailer era was already over, but I wanted to have one, for myself.

Watching Trailers always inspired me, and I wanted to have one that hopefully inspired others. At that time I already knew, that I´ll never reach a high level of moves.
But my path was all about music and being in the moment, as you can see in the Trailer.

Personally this wasn’t only a Trailer, this was a Message.

“I’m here and if you don’t know me, you’ll know me soon…” (and I can proudly say, I kept my word!)

This was filmed at my practice spot, we called it Gravenbreax and for me this spot was my temple (you can’t imagine how I miss this place…)

Enjoy!!!
