Spellbinding evening with the @ausballet as they premiered “Oscar,” a new story ballet by two-time Tony winner @wheeldony. 🩰
The Australian Ballet brings the tragic and romantic story of brilliant humorist Oscar Wilde (played beautifully by @ausballetjarrydmadden) to vivid life, set to a gorgeous score played live by the 48-piece @oslmusic.

Here’s the official synopsis: In 1895 England, while imprisoned for “gross indecency,” Wilde revisits the glittering world he once inhabited - his fame, his love affairs, and ultimately his downfall. Weaving together elements of Wilde’s “The Nightingale and the Rose” and “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” the ballet creates a richly layered portrait of the artist through shimmering sets, elegant costumes, and remarkably theatrical dancers.
I was transfixed and transported. Kudos to Christopher Wheeldon and artistic director @officialdavidhallberg 👏👏👏👏

I am ASTOUNDED by Sarah Jones and her show @americawhohurtyou which we thankfully captured for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) for @nypl_lpa.
The astonishing @yesimsarahjones (who won a Tony Award for her 2006 play “Bridge and Tunnel”) wrote this virtuosic one-woman show that is both hilarious and provocative.
Somehow, she embodies 19 characters in 100 minutes, deftly switching between male and female, black and white, liberal and conservative, slave and free, while she plumbs the depths of America’s history over the last 250 years. Her accents (British, Irish, Mexican, Chinese, Jamaican, etc.) blew me away, along with her absolute commitment to each character.
The show is coming back to New York in January at the @utrfest - catch her if you can!

So special to attend an acoustic set by our favorite Baby God @bentleyrobles at @lucindasnyc for a @bmi showcase.
Beyond cool to hear songs from bis album “Olympus” accompanied only by @iamflorio on guitar.
Remember: when Bentley plays MSG, we can look back and say that we were there for his (highly unusual) acoustic set at Lucinda’s! 🤠
Love you, Bentley 🖤💛🖤

Incredible surprise from @atlien74 for our anniversary - tickets to my latest Broadway obsession @lostboysmusical! 🧛‍♂️ 🧛🏻 🧛🏻‍♀️
Did I have tears rolling down my face at weird times? 😭 Yes. 🥹 I’m a theatre queen, what do you expect? 🎭 Not only is this show moving, but the stage magic and flying are unbelievable, jaw-dropping, and awe-inspiring. 🙌

Happy Anniversary to my love @atlien74! 💕

21 years together is no joke and an incredible accomplishment.

And since this is our 15th wedding anniversary, tradition states this is our crystal anniversary, and the symbolism runs deep. Crystal is prized for 4 qualities:
- Clarity
- Durability
- Light and brilliance
- Looking back through a clear lens

To put it succinctly, crystal represents a love that has grown clear, strong, and luminous over 15 years.

I’m so proud of us! And I love you beyond the stars. ✨

Loved seeing @rockyhorrorbway for the second time, especially since there’s a new cast at the castle!
While I missed @raedratch as the Narrator and @allaboutvalentina as Columbia, who were out for the night, I shivered with absolute pleasure over the iconic @jakeshears singing his ass off as Dr. Frank-N Furter, @kevinmchale as a perfect and perfectly cast Brad, @lornaacourtney surprising me as the horniest Janet I’ve seen yet, @officialsherierenescott as a full-throated Magenta, and hunky @jiminmmoon as Rocky.
They took all of us at Studio 54 on a strange journey I shall never forget, and definitely did Tim Curry and Richard O’Brien proud.

Dario. Coordinator, Original Documentation - New York Public Library. If you weren’t aware, @nypl maintains an archive of Broadway/Off Broadway and other theatrical performances, so a few times a year I get to hang with @dariospeedwagn for an evening while we’re taping a show. Little did I know that the last time I’d wind up with one of my favorite portraits! These are the faces behind the shows you love.
