Out of Thin Air: Clouds Against an Imperial Sky

Chemical agents released during trench warfare did not obey intention. They pooled under inversion layers. They reversed direction. They lingered in low cloud cover. The atmosphere redistributed strategy. Making the relationship between air, body, and place indistinguishable.

The scars and abrasions left in the body of the earth uncovered from burial, evidencing the experiments cast on skin, sky, and beneath. Procedures not through replication but through the voices ignited by reconciliation, giving way to a new light.

Caustics disseminating stories through presence and relinquished control.

The humidity welcomes visitors within the institutionalized living archival glasshouses. In the Empire, ecology becomes a symbol of colonial conquest and economic control within a highly maintained, categorized, and calculated environment. The atmospheric operations exist under the umbrella of scientific discovery. When you walk through the doors, you feel it. by @dariusarts
