Gantry Plaza State Park has the best sunset view of the New York City skyline 🌇 no crowds, no ticket, just the pier, the Chrysler Building, and the Empire State Building lighting up. Queens side of the East River, right across from Midtown Manhattan. Gantry Plaza was the first sunset I ever watched in New York City, and it’s stayed one of my favorite spots since. Get there 30–40 minutes before sunset for the golden hour light.
