There is so much wonderfulness in the world.

The last two days have been a whirlwind of sunshine, meeting new friends, standing stones, Mounts’s Bay, gorgeous music, laughter and joy.

Thank you @tiny_vipers @profitprison @chantal.acda for making the world a little better and coming to play for us in Cornwall.

Special thanks to @theshipinnporthleven and Beth for being such wonderful hosts, for lighting the fire and making the Smithy such a perfect place for us all. It made a very special and magical deep listening venue ✨

A huge thanks to everyone that came out to see us and specially @lorienrobertson thank you for my gorgeous drawing Lorien 🦉 👸

(I’m sorry, we moved some tables and chairs around and we forgot move them back 🤦🏻‍♂️ )

We’ll be playing in the main bar from 19:00. FREE entry with optional, very gratefully received, donations to cover travel costs for Jesy and Chantal who are on a joint headline European tour.

This is such a massive opportunity to see these fantastic artists. We are blessed they’re coming to play for us in Kernow! taken in Ship Inn Porthleven by @dark_leaves

We are happy to share that @dark_leaves will be opening up the evening for our Cornwall Album launch show on November 13th!

Dark Leaves is a solo project written and recorded by Patrick Aston at his home on the West Cornwall coast.

On the alternative side of folk, Patrick’s song compositions are carefully crafted.

Weaving together curious lyrics, soothing picked acoustic guitar, lush drone instruments and hypnotic beats, Patrick creates a deeply atmospheric and beautifully melancholic strain of psychedelia. With distant echoes of 1980’s era Cure mixed with 60s / 70s folk and ambient electronic music.

His inspiration is drawn from ancient poetry, folklore, the changing seasons of West Cornwall and the fictional, lost English county of Hookland, created by author and researcher David Southwell as an immersive folklore and psychogeography project.

Dark Leaves live performances are atmospheric listening experiences and best heard in intimate settings.

Save the date and join us on Wednesday the 23rd of September at 19:30 on YouTube when we’ll be sharing this full video. The mossy link is in my bio…

Deep in Retallack wood lies the Mossy Realm with its wonderful creatures and the Mossy Troupe.

One glorious afternoon, in mid summer, the Owl Queen and the Moth came out to dance to the tune of The Queen of Owls.

Spreading their wings, with graceful steps they moved and swayed along the mossy trail.

Through hedges and branches we were entranced and blessed to capture them as the sun shone through the leaves into their magical woodland stage. by @dark_leaves

I couldn’t resist doing a little impromptu dance in “The Golden Valley” this afternoon to the gentle music “Forest Flowing” @dark_leaves Here’s the beginning of the dance… I’m wearing a hat for the sun, blue for the recent rain and green for the leaves and grass… 👒 🌧️ 🍃 @les.impromptues by @dark_leaves
