On the 19th of September, DFPM returns to bring about the DUB.SEPT!*

Continuing our mission to #buildhopefromdystopia with a smaller, more intimate party focused on a single dub-adjacent genre. The premise is simple:

All #dubstep. All night. 140 people. One red light.

For this we've gathered a lineup of old and new school CBR legends, offering them an outlet to dig out their favourite classic dubstep tunes and melt our faces off.
__

Repping the old school, we have Aeon Knight (aka @electron.ric), head of the @electron.dance initiative, co-founder of the mythical Clubhouse, and host of the legendary Under the Radar (#iykyk) parties. Catch him as he returns to his hometown to deliver a lesson in dubstep across CDJs and 1200s. This set will be a real treat. Not to be missed!

Bridging generations, we have CBR stalwart @keyseismic. A genre-spanning member of the @souljazzcbr crew, well-known for deploying barrages of sonic artillery that, as his name suggests, will shake the venue to its very foundations.

This event will take place at the @blank.platform, an awesome space that is incubating culture and community in the heart of CBR.
__

Tickets are limited.
Our first event sold out.
Don't miss this chance to join your fellow lovers of #wub, #stankface, and heavy, #subfrequencybass as we come together to form the DUB.SEPT!

Repping the new school we have rising star of the CBR dance music scene @suuuga.dj from the @sweettooth.pres crew. We've all danced to her techno, bass, and d'n'b sets. This will be a chance to enjoy her technical skill and ear for banging tunes as she delves into the deeper, darker sections of her USB.

To emphasise the 'family' aspect of this 'sept', we have a power couple of the CBR dance music scene playing our inaugural 'X 🖤 Y' set. @viva_la_zala & Squishy B will be delivering a blend of romantic, dubstep-adjacent heaters to help us through the darkness with a romantic, warm (red) light.

Fourth recording from DUB.SEPT, Vol. 1, which took place on 19.09.26 at the @blank.platform.

Returning to his hometown, Aeon Knight (aka @electron_ric) dropped a killer set of 100% only the finest wubs on vinyl and CDs (#bigup for bringing that CDJ1000. #whatatreat).

As the mandem said on the night, #rubadubdub #140steppers #intheclub. We hope to see you playing CBR more often.

Catch Aeon Knight's alter-ego Eric Layers in Sydney, Thursday evenings at the @botanyviewhotel or by following @electron.dance.

If you missed the event or want to relive it, follow the link in bio or through http://mixcloud.com/darkfuturepicnicmusic.

Third recording from DUB.SEPT, Vol. 1, which took place on 19.09.26 at the @blank.platform.

Playing our inaugural couple set, Squishy B & @viva_la_zala took us on a romantic musical journey of UKG, bass, and dubstep. It was proper #relationshipgoals, perfect for a #dystopiandatenight.

We couldn't get a pic of the two of them on stage, so here is a photo of their effect on the crowd. It was 90 minutes of #rewind worthy wickedness. #bigup.

If you missed the event or want to relive this awesome set, tune in via the link in bio or through http://mixcloud.com/darkfuturepicnicmusic.

Second recording from DUB.SEPT, Vol. 1, which took place on 19.09.26 at the @blank.platform.

Armed with a mic, a tape delay, a pair of 1200s and an MPC, Selektah @lumo_arcturus provided a 30 minute lesson in #dubculture that showed old heads and new old how to properly enjoy and engage with the #roots of a #proper dubstep party. Made extra authentic by the mighty bass of the @freedom_of_assembly_sound system.

Big up, selektah! #fingerguns

Dropping the first recording from DUB.SEPT, Vol. 1, which took place on 19.09.26 at the @blank.platform.

@imbibe_music.with.substance delivered a perfect warmup with his distinctive blend of shamanic energy and dubstep vibes. It sounded absolutely amazing on the @freedom_of_assembly_sound.

We can't wait to hear more of his 140 selections and (hopefully) encourage him to produce some uniquely imbibe #shamanicdubstup.

If you missed the event or want to relive this awesome set, tune in via the link in bio or through our Mixcloud. More recordings coming soon!
