---

🇬🇧 Faced with Karzahni’s tyranny, several Toa and inhabitants of the Matoran Universe rose up against him and ultimately defeated him, stripping him of his power and leaving him trapped within his own realm. Abandoned for centuries, Karzahni slowly descended into madness, clinging to the belief that he was still a misunderstood god. After the collapse of the Matoran Universe and the relocation of its inhabitants to Spherus Magna, he was finally freed, but he was no longer the feared being he once was. His story ends in solitude and disgrace, far removed from the god he believed himself to be, marking one of the darkest tragedies in the BIONICLE universe.

🇬🇧 Zarda and Idris were **Matoran from Metru Nui** who, after the Great Cataclysm, became trapped in the sunken city later known as **Mahri Nui**. Far from being warriors, they represented the everyday citizens struggling to survive in the depths of the ocean, facing darkness, crushing pressure, and constant threats from sea creatures. During the events of **BIONICLE 2007**, both played an important role in the daily life of the city: Zarda stood out for her determination and strength, while Idris embodied fear, uncertainty, and the quiet hope of those longing to be rescued. In the end, thanks to the **Toa Mahri**, they survived Mahri Nui’s fate and were relocated to **Spherus Magna**, where they began a new life on the surface, becoming symbols of resilience and hope.

🇬🇧 Created by **Makuta Teridax** in the early days of the Matoran Universe, **Karzahni** was born as a being of immense power, tasked with repairing and overseeing **defective Matoran**. To fulfill this role, he was given an isolated realm where those who failed to meet the ideal of perfection of the Great Spirit Mata Nui were sent. Over time, his purpose became twisted: Karzahni began to see imperfection as a sin and turned repair into punishment, rebuilding Matoran in cruel and incorrect ways. His realm, once meant for healing, became one of the most terrifying places in the entire **BIONICLE** universe.

🇬🇧 Hydruka Thulox and Morak played an essential role in life at Mahri Nui. These aquatic creatures, used by the Matoran to harvest air from the airweed fields, helped sustain the entire underwater city. Thulox appeared briefly in a few official books, while Morak remained part of the bestiary without an active story role. After the fall of Mahri Nui and the collapse of the Matoran Universe, both —along with their entire species— survived in the waters of Aqua Magna and later Spherus Magna, becoming part of the natural marine life of the new world.

🇬🇧 *Morak**, one of the Hydruka from Mahri Nui, was a marine creature essential to the daily survival of the Matoran in the depths of the BIONICLE universe. His species evolved to thrive underwater, capable of manipulating solid air—an important resource for life in such a harsh environment. Although he had no personal storyline, Morak embodied the crucial role of the Hydruka within the underwater city.
After the fall of Mahri Nui, it is believed that Morak vanished along with most Hydruka, leaving no specific ending in the canon but remaining part of the world that supported life in the depths.

---

🇬🇧 Thulox one of the Hydruka that lived in the depths around **Mahri Nui**. These creatures were essential for the Matoran’s survival, transporting supplies and navigating areas far too dangerous for the city’s inhabitants. Thulox, trained along with the rest of its kind, played a key role in helping the Matoran endure the hostile underwater environment.

During the 2007 storyline, Hydruka like Thulox were an important part of the ecosystem ruled by the Barraki, showing how even the simplest creatures contributed to the larger narrative. After the fall of the Pit and the reunification on Spherus Magna, Thulox is believed to have continued living naturally in the new world, with no official death or disappearance recorded.

🇬🇧 After being defeated by the Toa Mahri, Gadunka continued to exist thanks to the Ignika’s energy. But when the Mask of Life left Mahri Nui, that energy began to fade. Little by little, the towering monster reverted back to its original form: a tiny sea creature, returning to the humble fate it had before its mutation.

🇬🇧 Ignika’s mutation turned Gadunka into a colossal sea monster with massive jaws and a body glowing with energy. While its strength and size increased dramatically, its mind remained simple and instinctive. Driven by hunger and aggression, it became an unexpected threat to the Toa Mahri as they fought to reclaim the Mask of Life.
