My recovery journey is far from over, but now I have more words of encouragement. #CriticalRole #ECCC2026 by @darkrespite

Guess who survived to fifty?!

Michelle: 1, liver disease: 0.
Michelle: 1, cancer: 0.

And so, to commemorate the occasion, despite my WELL-KNOWN loathing of being photographed, I just had to do this at ECCC 2024.

Young once, immature forever.

So absolutely stoked to see @chacharae_art's fantastic take on my badass Ancestral Guardians barbarian, Valerilde of the Crossroads, the Steward of Souls. Cannot say enough good things about working with Cha. by @darkrespite

Win #6 as of November 25th (and fifth in a row)! GO ME! (And heartfelt gratitude to @matthewmercervo for creating such a wonderful world and leaving enough space on the canvas for me to add just a little to it, even if it's totally unofficial.)

I have a lot of characters, whether in MMOs, RPGs, or just my OCs in the stories I write. This is Serinda, Oracle of Erlik and absolute badass from our Conan RPG campaign.

I'd gotten to know @bioswear online and really dug her art, so at one point, I commissioned her to do this piece, and she absolutely NAILED it. by @darkrespite

I absolutely fell in love with the MMORPG Rift from the moment I got into the beta. And I was a fan of the Guardians from day one. To that end, my two main characters (one Guardian, one Defiant) are both cousins to the Champion and leader of the Guardians, Cyril Kalmar.

Through the Rift community, I met @artbycelyne, and she became my go-to artist for not only all of my Rift commissions, but several others as well. But this particular family portrait of the Kalmar family remains one of my all-time favorites. by @darkrespite

Back in 2020, @maioceaneyes was offering commissions to raise money for the Australian wildfire relief efforts. Of course I LEAPT at the chance to commission a piece.

Here we see my FATE-system, MHA-predating RPG character Tsukiko Takashi - hyperintelligent gadgeteer and milkshakes aficionada. by @darkrespite

I've worked with @runescratch.art on a couple of projects, and Rune did an incredible job on this piece I'd commissioned related to my ROYAL TUTOR novel.

Here we see Bruno von Granzreich and Dame TaraLeila MacIntyre sharing a dance while out and about in the capital city of Wienner. by @darkrespite

I have a LOT to upload. Been getting commissioned art for at least 15 years now? If not longer?

The NSFW stuff will NOT be going on here, btw. Which is a shame coz it's also beautiful art. by @darkrespite

I like to think that my CITY OF HEROES alter ego Johanna Sinclair is still happily roaming around Paragon City, the Rogue Isles, and Praetoria, videocamera in hand, being her usual obnoxiously cheerful self. by @darkrespite

Kickass art for my NaNoWriMo 2022 novel THE WIZARD AND THE WEAVER, done by @cvleart (front cover) and @cynicalstith (back cover); they both did such a great job portraying Caleb and Malastra. by @darkrespite
