Welcome to Fog Town! Fictional city in Newfoundland, Canada.

Home of the Curse of Salt and Silver series. Book one Silver Lunule is due to come out this year.

It’s a dark urban fantasy, enemies to lovers, with elements of mystery and spice.

You ever had that feeling? In the middle of some creative block. It’s better to poke fun than to cry 😂

enjoying this trend! I do love horror movies so at first I was disappointed that not even in my stories was suddenly sharing their favourites… haha.

Here are my top five horror movies:
1. Writer’s block
2. Imposter syndrome
3. Writing “experts” slipping into your DMs
4. Running out of snacks
5. You’re late and gas light comes on

What are yours?

How it feels to write the book: I used to think this would be the most difficult part. Actually it was pretty fun! I mean, sometimes it dragged, but overall an enjoyable experience.

How it feels to market the book: soooo much imposter syndrome. How do I get this out there? Indie vs trad publishing? How much to post, what to post? It’s a confusing process but learning as I go!

Last, now, next! What I’ve been reading lately. A lot of fantasy the past few months. What’s on your TBR? Have you read any of these?

This week’s wrap-up as a new author!

I was busy this week so I thought I’d post a little re-cap from the past couple of weeks.

It was a busy time with birthday parties and family visiting. I didn’t get as much editing done but I am still working towards my goals. Hoping it will be a more productive week this week!

Tell me you’re a fantasy reader without telling me!

Put a hand up if:
You’d rather here about made up places than real ones
Your fantasy series TBR is getting out of hand
You’ve fallen asleep reading out magical people in far away lands

If you have three hands up, impressive, you might want to get that checked out!

What are some other ways to tell?

The weather is starting to to warm up a little bit here in Canada and it’s a time I still love cozying up with a book on the weekends. I just finished DireBound by Sable Sorenson and my next read is Serpents on the Wings of Night. Has anyone read either of these? What did you think?

What are you currently reading this March or what’s on your TBR?

My current WIP, Silver Lunule, is book one of the Curse of Salt and Silver series.

The real cover will be coming soon, but I thought this one was cute too.

If you like dark fantasy with elements of mystery and spicy scenes along the backdrop of an Atlantic Canadian setting you might enjoy this book!
