Artist Spotlight

DARKSTROBELIGHT

One of IowaTechno’s core members, you can find DarkStrobeLight in the trenches before, after and during these parties making the wheels turn.
These parties just don’t happen without his input over the last few years. Since joining the team he’s been an anchor in keeping this ship steady.

He’s back in the booth making the records spin and helping create the soundtrack for the evening. You can expect driving techno intensity with club-ready grooves and atmospheric energy.

For the June 2026 edition of the IowaTechno Radio podcast, we’re bringing you ITR038 featuring Curator.

Formerly known as Lazarus, Curator is an Iowa-based DJ and lifelong music obsessive whose sound is built around soulful grooves, spiritual energy, and infectious beats.

First pulled into Iowa’s electronic circuit in 2010 through staples like Solar Cathedral, LabelWhite, and Ekvilibrium, Curator quickly found his place in the scene. With early guidance from Cory Simpson and inspiration from Iowa favorite Dylan Newton, he became a consistent force across the state’s underground dance community, sharing lineups at Pornstar’s Ball, Iowa festivals, and plenty more along the way.

After taking time away to focus on personal and professional goals, Curator is back behind the decks and ready to guide the room through groovy, soulful, dance-floor journeys you won’t forget.
