Two years ago, Dara invited me to help tell a story - in collaboration with the ARC - about a community that deserves to be seen. To our participants: thank you for opening your lives to us, for trusting us with your stories, and for letting us come along on your journey.

No studio backing us. Just our core crew, vendors, family, and friends who believed deeply in us and in this film.

This weekend, American River had its world premiere at Mountainfilm in Telluride. Watching it with an audience for the first time, hearing the laughter, the silence, the sniffs, and the applause, felt surreal.

My first time Executive Producing and Producing an independently funded, crowd-funded film. A project built entirely on generosity, talent, time, and the faith of people who have stood beside us for over a decade.

To the entire crew, our participants, our vendors, and every collaborator who carried this film with us: this premiere belonged to you! Millones de Gracias! In Loving Memory of: Filmmaker Robert Schneider, Dr. Lindsey Horenblas, and Dr. Emilio Higgins by @darling_higgins

To the Funny AF Crew: this was all possible because of you! Thank you for all your hard work, late nights, red-eye flights, and endless problem-solving.

What we pulled off this season across all these cities was out of this world, and none of it would’ve happened without this incredible team. So grateful for every one of you. by @darling_higgins

Some people arrive on time. Some arrive 20 years later with grids and crazy OCD. 😅

I’m beyond grateful to have finally joined the Volpe/Nic production duo.

Huge thanks to my amazing agents, @dillydallyklein and @zoedove for putting these two humans in my life. When I say they are Los Mejores Jefes del Mundo, I mean every word.

It’s been a dream to learn from @bravedieyoung / @d.r.volpe and to help deliver a project I’m deeply proud of. It took a village and then some. Hundreds of brilliant, hard-working humans poured their hearts into bringing you the new season of Project Runway.

To my fearless leaders and the entire dream team behind the scenes: EPs, Producers, Production Mgmt, Alfred Street team, PAs, Post, ADs, Director, DP, Tech Sup, Designers, Cast, Guests, Consultants, Models + Model Team, Cast team, Production Designers, Acc Wall, Art, Teamsters, Wardrobe, H&MU, Crafty, Sewers, Crew, Accounting, Travel Agents, Legal, Insurance, and Vendors—THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!! We couldn’t have done this without each and every one of you.

EMMY NOMINATED… with your best friends!

SNL 50: Beyond Saturday Night has been nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, and I’m still trying to find the words.

Being nominated for the very first time is something I’ll never forget. This project was built with so much love, care, and late-night hustle. Every single person (our producers, directors, production team, crew, post team, accounting, vendors, talent, and the whole staff at 30 Rock) brought their full heart to the table.

Collaboration is everything. Teamwork is what makes the impossible possible. Without it, we wouldn’t be here. I’m so damn proud to have stood beside this team.

What made it even more meaningful? I got to do it with my best friends. The most talented and amazing humans, producers, crew members who’ve been by my side for nearly a decade. That kind of support and trust is rare, and I don’t take it lightly.

Thank you for the opportunity and thank you all for your hard work. I’m endlessly proud to share this special moment with you, I adore you all so much! by @darling_higgins

Feliz Cumpleaños to my best friend (and all of my girls’ best friend)!!!

It would take a whole novel to list everything you mean to me—and to everyone lucky enough to know you. Your sense of humor, your fierce love, and above all, your endless kindness make this world a better place.

I honestly can’t imagine my life without your iconic punch lines or the all-caps “DARLINGGGGGG” texts you send me whenever I say something totally inappropriate. 😂

I love you more than you love reminding me how amazing New York is. Can’t wait to be back to my fave city and celebrate you - my favorite human - the way you deserve. 🥂💫 TE AMO TANTO, BEBECITA! by @darling_higgins

To my incredible Producers, Production team, Crew, Directors, Accountant, Post Team, Vendors, Legal, Cast, SNL and Late Night staff, and all the collaborators who made this documentary possible:
Thank you. Truly, thank you. From the bottom of my heart for embracing this journey and being part of this incredible project. It’s been my honor to work alongside all of you to create a tribute to an American institution—SNL.
It’s surreal to think we were all part of bringing this legacy and 50th Anniversary to life.
I am so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together. Your dedication, talent, and unwavering care for this project are beyond words. I would follow each of you to the ends of the earth. You are, hands down, the best in the business.
Dream jobs do exist, and getting to work with my best friends on something this special made it that much more meaningful. There are so many individuals I owe my thanks to—if I forget someone please let me know. For now, I’ll say this: HIRE them. They are the absolute BEST.
Grateful beyond measure for this amazing team! ✨ #Teamwork #Collaboration
