sick af display @wilmettelibrary from @fobarchiveteam ! they put on a really interesting showcase about their archival work and the local history of fall out boy! it’s always so much fun seeing all the things people wear and make and bring and etc for events like this because we’re all so united by love of music ❤️

I’m so glad I got to meet everybody and hand out bracelets ! So many other people were handing out stuff too and I’m so grateful ! The fob fandom is seriously the nicest one I’ve ever been in despite everything 😭

I was up late making bracelets the night before just to give out and I’m so glad people liked them ❤️ I’m already ordering to replenish my bead supply because I’m running low so expect more soon. Good rule for reference that if you go to events and I’m there, there’s a pretty good chance I’m handing out stuff ❤️ I’m shy but I love to share 🤠

Also so cool to meet @rosecrud who’s worked on a bunch of my fav music! Seriously I grew up listening to his stuff (I’m 20 👻) so putting a face to it irl is a little surreal lol even though he is just some guy (aren’t we all?). Go stream his stuff because he’s super chill. His super sweet mom also talked with me so hi Sean’s mom 👋

Overall it was an awesome experience. It’s been way too long since I’ve gotten to be around so many other like-minded (even if only a little bit) people ❤️

how do you go about outlining your stories?

this isn't even my only time travel story. the other one has no outline because it's much more straight forward 😓 even this one is pretty sparse. i'm a very cerebral writer, literally.

pic 1: legendary thrift store pulls. i can't believe i found men in love because it's been on my tbr forever! i got the shoes because i needed new ones to play in and they miraculously had my size. seriously, why is it is so difficult to find size 7m/9w shoes ???

pic 2: @halfpricebooks having (almost) everything i'm looking for.

pic 3: i found what i was looking for but i really wish they sorted the comic books differently because cubbies sorted by publisher/imprint and seemingly in no alphabetized order in any way is rather difficult to card through. but i do understand that storing single comics is already hard because they are fragile and don’t usually have “spines” for easy side reading.

pic 4: close up of issue two of golden rage. i'm actually not super familiar with this comic but it was so striking and cheap i just had to get it.

they all put on a fantastic show! i'm wiped tf out still because of my chronic stuff but i stg when vv started playing, my pain started fading and was suddenly bearable levels. music is power, etc.

i'm so glad vv played cashgrab (i voted yes on the poll 😊 hashtag my vote matters) and grief is for the living made me cry (because i'm pretty?). also so amazingly fucking surreal to get to hear g-d save the queens live with that killer bridge (i am a proponent of the live/bridge version being far better. slur version for the win). nothing but bangers! i can't wait until vv gets to headline one of these days and do an hour+ long show. i am already seated.

first pic is of me with j at the merch table. super nice and super tall which like i expected but still my own smallness frequently shocks me. thanks for hunching down to hear me 😭 you're the best.
