I’ve had the same pinned post since 2020. Since pinned posts aren’t always clear that they are pinned, it can seem that my account has been dormant (thanks to @shaun_designs_2 for helping me realise this). So I thought I’d try and help Instagram out by making it a bit clearer. Arrived in the post yesterday, it’s volumes 2 and 3 of @bestie_thecomic by Kenneth Larsen. I’ve been reading this online for quite some time and it is definitely one of my favourite webcomics. Be sure to check it out and pick up your own copies (along with volume 1)! #comics #webcomics #bestie taken in Telford by @darlosworld

The Final Chapter (@finalspace) has arrived in the UK! Thankfully they’re safe considering the package was half open and dumped on my doorstep by the @yodeldeliveryuk delivery guy (hey @ups you might want to reconsider your UK delivery partner). Makes for a pretty funky looking picture though, eh. 😊 Gonna find time to binge watch the series before tackling this. #FinalSpace by @darlosworld

My copy of “Being Not Okay” by @khemmings94 has arrived, and I instantly sat and read it from cover to cover. Wow. It’s a fantastic collection of comics exploring real human feelings, anxiety and depression, and I could see myself in many of these. At a time when so many people are struggling with various situations, it is actually kind of refreshing to have a comic explore these kind of feelings, rather than try to just cheer us up. I got my copy as a Kickstarter backer, but highly recommend giving it a full read if you get the chance. #BeingNotOkay #comic taken in Telford by @darlosworld

Postman made me happy today as I Became A Boy For Revenge (I Promise!) by @knightlythirty came through the letterbox! It’s a great story, very funny, and wonderfully drawn! You can read it on their Instagram, or get a copy on their KoFi store! Also, I absolutely love how they drew my little Darlo character! 🥰 taken in Telford by @darlosworld

Momma Darlo’s Birthday Cake Full post on Cara: https://cara.app/post/95b1f7ec-d79f-439f-aa9a-9bee3d64d52c View post on BlueSky (not full text): https://bsky.app/profile/darlosworld.bsky.social/post/3mjc7dokqis2w Recently I designed a birthday cake top sheet for Momma Darlo’s birthday. It features her favourite Animal Crossing villager, Tiffany, saying the catchphrase Momma Darlo gave her, “Slutty Bunny”. The tricky part was getting the cake printed as the shop doesn’t do anything with copyrighted characters (fan art or not, Tiffany is not my copyrighted character). Also the shop does not print swearwords or anything else ‘offensive’. I explained (lied, sorry shop guy) that they were from a webcomic that I created, which the guy thankfully took at face value. As planned my hand-written text hid the word “slutty” just enough. I was kind of disappointed he didn’t push more, because I was prepared with a full synopsis and everything, including why it couldn’t be seen right now if he checked on his phone. — The Prepared Lie — The webcomic is called Mind Your Skittyness and will be hosted on both WebToons and Tapas. They’re currently going through the approval phase, so will be live within the next week or so. The story is kind of a standard isekai story, where a regular person is transported into a magical world. However, unlike most isekai plots where the protagonist is a young kid, it’s an older woman (the woman on the cake). She’s transported to a world of talking animals and is terrified. The first animal to meet her is a rabbit called Tina (the one on the cake), who gives her the nickname “Skitty Bunny” (like it is written on the cake) because of how skittish and scared she is. As the woman meets more characters and gains confidence, he becomes less “skitty” and works to find out how she got there and find a way back home. Full drawing on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/darlosworld.bsky.social/post/3mdy7pzb7u22o Here’s my entry for the #IBecameABoy #DTIYS challenge, a draw this in your style challenge for the I Became a Boy For Revenge (I Promise) web comic by @knightlythirty. I wanted to include some characters from their other comic series Princess Beast, since Ashley (the character in the foreground) has a very similar name to Ash (the shouty man in the background who just needs to calm down and be a good boy). “Are We Hugh’s Men? Or Are We Dan’s Sirs?” Had the song Human by The Killers (@thekillers) in my head all morning, but the line “Are we human, or are we dancer” made me think of two medieval generals trying to convince an army to fight for them. I had to doodle it before I forgot. 😂 #art #doodle #human #thekillers #drawing See this on BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/darlosworld.bsky.social/post/3mdcz7ih4p22v See this on Cara: https://cara.app/post/606a8bf1-328b-4385-b333-4be288b22c3d taken in Telford by @darlosworld
