Not trendsetting or making moms feel like another thing has to be over the top. But for us, we celebrate the milestones that change you. My daughter is many amazing things, but she’s also the type to milk everything for all it’s worth. Sorry Lay, I call a ♠️ a ♠️.

Her tooth came loose applepicking and I KNEW getting it out was going to be a THING. So I made a big deal of how big she’s getting and hyped her up to loose it without giving it extra attention.

We went food shopping and every word she spoke was like a dance party for that tooth. She found a random dumpling squishy in the bread aisle and I told her that could be her prize for being a big girl and letting us pull the tooth before she swallowed it. I said that’s sentence like 16x before she put the squishy back and opted for popcorn instead.

The second we parked and looked in the rear view - “MAMA IT’S GONE!!” My heart sank. Bc where is it?! Moms - I know you know. My “grocery getter” as my husband calls it, was packed to the brim with groceries, toys, blankets, fake trees, (you know, the essentials 😂) and the not to mention Layla’s check out choice was SMART FOOD, with crumbs that literally could not look more like a tiny tooth if it tried..

Once her shock wore off her panic set in. I hugged her and said if we don’t find it, the tooth fairy will. I hand vacuumed that car, pinching popcorn and praying to Saint Anthony for 45 minutes before giving myself a pep talk that she swallowed the damn thing.

I told her the tooth fairy is soooo tiny that she can fly under the seats with a flash light & magnifying glass and find it.

She drew the tooth fairy a picture and asked me to write a note, put it in her cute little tooth pillow to hang on her door. Shoutout to COVID for giving millennial parents the ability to never have to unclench a little fist under a pillow for a tiny tooth - GAME CHANGER 🥇

Luckily she can’t read yet, so no one better tell her she “probably” swallowed her tooth. That’s for the tooth fairy to know and no one to find out. All I know is, the next tooth better be a breeze. & the tooth fairy pays extra for a scavenger hunt. 🦷🪥� by @darnae.allday
