Carina was a cool gal. We did many photoshoots in short period of time. She was graceful and generous in giving her time for many shoots. This is in her parent’s house, shot through a mirror and underexposed to create an age and feel to it. 4x5 Sinar and 210mm lens. Shalom to you Carina by @darrensheely

Kara@again, back with classic motion pictures portrait shoot. She has thee amazing set of screen mirrors. I shoot on 8x10 inch x-ray film, which has similar properties and looks to photography film of this era. Love the look and can’t beat the price of $.40 a shot Vs $12 on modern black and white shot, 1/30 the price. Nice flashlight and longgggg exposures 2-4 seconds. That can feel like an eternity shooting for the people posing, but Kara and I have done 20 something shoots. Still doesn’t beat JOAN Crawford and George Hurell’s 33 together. Hope to get photograph people soon, been a dry spell. Shalom

Dani, 8x10 X- Ray Film…about 3 perhaps 4 years ago. I believe she just came back for Hawaii. Dani was always full of surprises, and had cool interests. I knew her while and had no idea she loved to skateboard. Dani is blessed with optimism in life and has real life goals. She was always up for a shoot and a dinner. Shalom…

This was taken at Em’s place on Sunday evening -twilight. We waited for sun to hit softer but did take shots with sun beams. This is a dress a dear friend of hers gave her who has recently passed. This photo was taken about few years ago, Em married and expect they are well. She is fabulous

This is Alyssa, we did this photo shoot between her moving that very day. She was always insightful and just had style to her that was extremely photographable - the camera loved her. I love to under expose and pull things out to create an older more textured feel.

Here’s Jenna. She was a good friend awhile ago, in another life it seems. How much does change in our life, seems like we can many lives that are so different. There is something unique about this photo. It’s about 10 years old, I haven’t looked at in ages but I really see it for the first time last night. He gaze and expression. She makes contact and a wonder in her eyes. I hope she is well in California, I think that is where she lives now. She was fabulous and I talked her into doing several shoots - poor las, laying grass and eaten by mosquitos in one shoot. Shalom Jenna.

This is Laura photographed in my living room when I lived in Richmond. Laura was of the most unassuming, kindest people have ever been bless to meet, and even more, a dependable friend. The struggle she had was fear. While many do have it, fear had a grip upon that developed into anger and a cold distance. Many of people’s great character, such as kindness, have opposite struggle when it comes up, it is bold and strong, such as anger. I felt both from her, very often the kindness, but the anger was the last experience. She did not like something I felt I had to say, I knew coming in what it meant to say, but you love someone, in grace you say the truth. Looking through some ole photographs takes quite the turn of heart and I will posting some for a bit. Shalom to Laura, and Shalom to you all.

A friend from another life, Karis; some say there are two sides to a story, looking on both sides, one misses the truth.

David and Emily. I knew them in college, both before they met one another, and then a while after. Life took us different ways. They were fabulous. I photographed their wedding as a gift, I used to do that often with friends. Loved those weddings, did not like commercial ones lol. The laid ones were boring and stressful. The gift ones were easy and joyful mostly. Did many shoots with Emily, she had such presence in front of the camera. Shalom to ya guys.
