The question we get most often is: “What are the workouts?”

With more than three months remaining until the inaugural New England Masters Championship, we’re still testing and refining movements, standards, and loading to ensure the workouts are appropriately challenging, safe, and enjoyable for every age group.

While we’re not ready to reveal the workouts just yet, we can tell you some movements that WILL NOT be included:
• Ring Muscle-Ups • Handstand Walking • Handstand Push-Ups • 1-Rep Max lifts
- distance running
- swimming

Our goal is to create four workouts that test overall fitness while remaining accessible and safe for all athletes. If you can complete the CrossFit Open Rx in your Age-Group, you’ll be ready for the New England Masters Championship.

We are so excited to see so many athletes signed up already! Over half of the divisions are already filled and the waitlist is growing. If you are still deciding, register now!

We’d like to share our plans for maximizing athlete participation:

- we plan to keep regular registration open as-is until July 15th
- at that point, we will expand some age groups to do our best to accommodate athletes on the wailists
- we intend to leave registration spots open for any divisions that have fewer than 3 athletes - so athletes can still sign up after July 15th
- re-evaluate in early August

As always, send us any questions you may have.

Registration for the New England Masters Championship will be Live Monday, June 1 at 9 AM EST on Competition Corner. Link in event page Bio. We anticipate that certain Age-Groups will sellout quickly as we are hosting only 7 Athletes per age group. Your age is as of July 2027 following the CrossFit Open/Games season guidelines. Don’t miss out on this soon to be premier Masters event in the Northeast. The New England Masters Championship will be available on Competitions Corner June 1st for more detailed information and registration.

With each age group being only 7 athletes, we expect certain categories to go fast so be sure to set your calendars and watch here for more updates.

Your “age as of” date will be July 2027 in line with the 2027 CrossFit Open/Games guidelines.

Announcing the 2026 New England Masters Championship to be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at CrossFit Amoskeag in Bedford New Hampshire. Age-Groups will be in 5 year increments from 40-65+. There will be 4 workouts testing your overall fitness. If you can do the Open, you can do this comp.

Since this is our first year, we’re keeping it small with 7 athletes per age group but treating you big!

Sign-ups available in late May on Competition Corner.
