Hi!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This was a fun project!

Main title theme for Night of the Living Dead (1968). All music is mine, 2026. Video, dialogue, and SFX are Image Ten (public domain).

Composed in Sibelius, audio using NotePerformer.

Intent: The intro depicts a long car ride to the cemetery. The major hit points--the main title, the Cemetery Entrance sign, and entering of the cemetery--tell the viewer that danger is ever closer. A cycle of melodic fragments grows over the course of the piece to signal increasing tension as the journey continues.

Scale is B octatonic HW, and the melodic fragments are built around 034 chords on B and F.

And Barbara has an interesting thought on this whole Daylight Saving Time thing. Do you agree?

I was told there would be subtle signs when the movie crews came to town. Wonder what the film is! #newwest

Tubi starts playing the movie if you click to read the description, which is how they get you. This is why I am watching Haunted House of Pancakes. 👀

I’ve heard it said that the composer can make or break a movie. Definitely what got my attention here. (15 minutes in, far enough to get into the general absurdity and fun.) by @darrinbrightman

Don’t know how long it will be up, but it’s fun and wholesome. And if your work insists on holiday lunchtime movies, it’s a good choice that runs under an hour! by @darrinbrightman

I always found this song hilarious (if enjoyable). Now I learn it was an intentional self-parody by the Turtles. Linked video starts with an interview.
