Seeing @celinedion in Paris was truly AMAZING and definitely an experience I will remember for the rest of my life! She far exceeded my expectations. She was ON FIRE and both looked and sounded incredible. She was so emotional throughout the concert and she was genuinely thrilled and proud when she was able to deliver a performance the way she intended. I’ve never experienced an artist perform live that way. Especially knowing the intense health battles she has faced it was truly a triumphant performance. Even if you’re not a mega fan you could not help but cheer her on. Well done Celine!! Thank-you for giving us all something we will remember.

I loved Bologna!! The city has three nick-names: La Dotta (the learned) for its ancient university; La Rossa (the red) for its terracotta rooftops; and La Grassa (the fat) for its heavy, delicious cuisine.

Founded in 1088 AD, the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna never stopped running and taught famous minds like Dante. The Biblioteca comunale dell’Archiginnasio is a historic public library, famous for being housed in the majestic Palazzo dell’Archiginnasio—the former main building of the University of Bologna. It was founded in 1801 and opened in its current location in 1838. It features thousands of colorful student and coat-of-arms decorations covering the interior walls and halls.

Bologna has about 40 kilometers (25 miles) of covered UNESCO-listed porticoes, allowing you to walk across the historic center in the rain without getting wet. Long before Pisa leaned, Bologna’s Torre Garisenda gained a major lean that is famous worldwide. taken in Bologna, Italy by @darrylnipps

Siena is a stunning medieval Tuscan city famous for the Piazza del Campo, the historic Palio di Siena horse race, and the world’s oldest operating bank, Monte dei Paschi di Siena. Twice a year (July 2 and August 16), ten horses with bareback riders race around the edges of the main square (which is really not that big for a 10 horse race!!!) in a chaotic 90-second sprint. Even if the rider falls off, the horse can still win the race! Legend says Siena was founded by Senius and Aschius, the sons of Remus (of Remus and Romulus fame!). Statues of the sacred Lupa (she-wolf) are all over the city. taken in Siena, Toscana, Italy by @darrylnipps

Rediscovering the marvelous city of Amsterdam after 30 years! The picturesque architecture of the housing also reveals stories about the wealth of the original owners as the city would tax people based on the number of windows and doors! Amsterdam boasts more bikes than residents, over 1,200 bridges, and more canals than Venice! The city is built on 11 million wooden poles to stay above water. Visiting Anne Frank’s House was incredibly moving. No photos allowed inside. The floating flower market was fun to experience, and a wander through the red light district felt very naughty!!

Thanks to @katerintheys for the show-stopping shirt that was the talk of the town! 😁 taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @darrylnipps

A week in Belgium was simply wonderful with so much history and so many beautiful buildings, canals and incredible sights. However, hands down, the best part of the entire trip was the time we got to spend with the Theys family and their friends. They welcomed us like family and showered us with their love and generous hospitality.

Our most heartfelt thanks to @kellyjanss and @katerintheys and to your entire family for welcoming us with your ever open arms and showing us the true heart of Belgium. 🇧🇪

@katerintheys you have a an incredible eye and a true talent for turning rich gorgeous fabrics into beautiful garments. I am so proud to be able to help introduce you to the world as you launch your online store and plan events in London, Paris and New York.

If you are ever in Belgium you MUST make it a priority to visit @jostheysboerderij Not only is the restaurant set in the most picturesque and charming surrounds, but the meat is the best I’ve ever tasted!! I am officially ruined, as nothing will ever compare again!!!!!! Belgium, you have my heart! 🖤💛♥️ taken in Jos Theys Boerderij by @darrylnipps

Wrapping up in Antwerp with a visit to Dominique Persoone’s The Chocolate Line - one of only three chocolatiers to receive three Michelin stars! His opulent Antwerp store is located in the Paleis op de Meir, the palace built for Napoleon and a former home to the Belgium Royal family.

Getting a privileged sneak peak inside The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA) was an incredible experience! The museum is gorgeous with a beautiful sculpture garden and a bronze pond with water levels that mimic the tide.

“The Antwerp Six” exhibit at MoMu Fashion Museum is a must see (running until January 2027), and so poignant to be held in the same building where the Royal Academy of Fine Arts is also located. It celebrates the 40th Anniversary of designers Dirk Bikkembergs, Ann Demeulemeester, Walter Van Beirendonck, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, and Marina Yee - each with their distinct design DNA’s who all graduated from the same year and class at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts - packed their collections into a rented van and drove to the British Designer Show in London, uninvited! British reporters, unable to pronounce their Flemish names, collectively dubbed them “The Antwerp Six”. They collectively catapulted Belgium into the global fashion stratosphere, rebelling against the glamorous, opulent 1980s “power dressing” trends. taken in Antwerpen, Belgium by @darrylnipps

After years on the bucket list I finally got to experience the amazing city of Antwerp! A beautiful city with so much history! Antwerp is the global diamond capital, handling approximately 80% of the world’s rough diamonds. This port city is also home to Europe’s oldest skyscraper (the 1932 Boerentoren), the oldest printed newspaper, and a train station regularly voted one of the world’s most beautiful.

The name Antwerpen allegedly comes from handwerpen (“hand throwing”). Local folklore says a giant named Antigoon cut off the hands of boatmen who wouldn’t pay his toll, until a hero named Brabo severed the giant’s hand and tossed it into the river. You can see the Brabo Fountain in the city’s main square, the Grote Markt.

A huge thankyou to @katerintheys for introducing me to Cecemel (now rebranded to Chocomel!) - a delicious chocolate milk drink that has become part of my morning ritual in Belgium! taken in Antwerpen, Belgium by @darrylnipps
