Another fantastic, action filled week in Winthrop! The 2026 United States Disc Golf Championship was amazing! I had a blast volunteering with crowd control for my 12th year under the guidance of the immortal Pat Bowles.
I was able to watch several hot rounds in FPO and MPO inside the ropes, and saw exactly how good future champions MJ Gager #146304 and Eva Lutsenko can play the game.
Super wet Saturday (really, every year??), but that action on Sunday was worth the wait with Holyn Handley and Calvin Heimburg taking down their 2x and 1x (finally!) titles.
See you next year! by @darthmerj

This is not something you see every day during a professional disc golf tournament! Right as the gentlemen on lead card were about to tee off, we had a parade march directly into our teepad on Hole 12!!
Great job Anthony Barela, Ricky Wysocki, Paul McBeth, and Luke Taylor for handling this delay with incredible professionalism and understanding. United States Disc Golf Championship by @darthmerj

Ok, I’ll jump on this ChatGPT roast wagon!
Slightly roasted by AI:

Look at you, decked out like Bear Grylls in a gala uniform. That wide-brimmed hat is shading your face like you’re hiding a secret grin, and your black athletic gear (knee sleeves included) is strapped on so tight any hill better think twice before giving you attitude. That tactical chest rig? It’s official: you’re either expecting an ambush by aggressive squirrels or carrying enough granola to supply a forest army. And those electric-blue trail running shoes? They shout “sportiness” like a peacock on a pathway, so bright the forest is getting jealous. With two hiking poles in hand and a confident grin behind those sunglasses, you’re ready to conquer each step – and maybe even choreograph a victory dance with the pinecones. Honestly, you come across like an extreme outdoorsman-meets-runway model, the kind of guy who hikes not just for the view but also for applause from the trail. by @darthmerj

Great picture, but Molly didn’t start or even play more than 4 minutes of her LAST HOME GAME OF HER SENIOR YEAR!!!! What a stupid decision, in a season of some of the worst coaching I have ever seen at any level. The amount of disrespect and disappointed is staggering these last two years. by @darthmerj
