Hello! Friday 2nd October come find me at @clash.happens.here for the #moktoberfest launch night. I will be digging deep into the vinyl archives and spinning a selection of electronica spritzers, family friendly idm, low ABV downtempo groovy dubstep and some lightly chilled shandy tech-no flavours. Coming up this week at Things Happen Here and CLASH…

What a week of food, music and more we have for you this week!

Food! Friday Mexican food from Basement 17 Tacos sound tracked by DJ Ren, Saturday moules and frites from The Mussel Men with an early doors solo show (arrive around midday) from The Golden Dregs and Sunday it the final ever Big Kebabski. All happening at CLASH and don’t forget it’s the latest Classics at CLASH classic car meet this Sunday 12-3 as well as the return of our Queer Open Mic on Thursday.

At Things Happen Here on Friday it’s gig time with US band Ohtis supported by Bristols Lifter for a night of ace Americana/ indie folk. On Sunday it’s Baka Beyond live bringing the festival vibes from 7pm. Get tickets from the links in our bio. This weekends weather permitting outside DJs are Dartmoog on Saturday and Mx Mikki pre gig on Sunday.

All of that plus beer 🍻 Really good beer!

Possibly my last outdoor DJ stint of 2026 coming up next Saturday 12th at @things.happen.here - I'll be starting from 3:30pm going through until after sunset at 8pm. Kicking off with world music and vinyl obscurities, moving into electronica and deep house sounds. I'll dig deep as usual! Playing indoor at @clash.happens.here on Saturday was a last minute venue switch after the weather gods took over. And when I arrived and set up there were a whole bunch of folk in there sheltering from the rain! So I'm glad I packed a wide variety of music. For the first couple of hours I played a blend of motown, calypso, jazz and yes even a bit of country! Being able to adapt to a situation is really important for any DJ and I'm chuffed I didn't empty the place within 10 minutes 🤩 House music is where my heart is, but ill always read the room and shift tactic when required. #vinyldj #readtheroom the USB lights looked pretty cool too by @dartmoog

Due to the weather today’s outside DJ session is moving across the road to CLASH.

THH opens from 1 but @dartmoog will be playing his vinyl set inside at CLASH 3.30-8.

#tbt The time I got to play at the former #eclipsecoventry back in 2003 when it was still a club but more of the student variety... Blasted some prog bangers! This was for world DJ day. Picked up some groovy new tunes from @greenvinyl whilst on the family hols in Holland - will play some this Bank Holiday Saturday at @things.happen.here (praying to the weather gods but I guess rain would be welcome so....) //// will start with an hour or so of worldwide beats and pieces, calypso, jazz, downtempo ... A couple more upcoming dates for me at @things.happen.here this summer. I'm enjoying the challenge of playing these extended 4 hour sets, letting me dig deep into my record collection to unearth everything from balearic downtempo and 7" obscurities, early electronica and world beats, heading towards groovy deep and progressive house music. It's fun throwing in curveballs and seeing what sticks! Always free entry, with a cracking drinks selection.
