This video is almost 9 minutes long, so I'm going to keep it short: Thank you to my friends and family for helping and for not telling me when I was going to happen. I had a feeling that it was going to happen but I didn't know when. (It's what happens when you have an incredibly curious girlfriend.) And for keeping me calm! XD And for helping this incredibly kind, patient, loving, sweet, handsome man put all this together. 🤍 It started out as my birthday party celebration and then Austin took me to the side and started to talk to me. He ended the conversation by gaving me a birthday present: a pop figurine of Sebastian, dressed as a conductor... Starting up the fun/celebration. You get the idea... 🎶🎵 There will be some dogs barking for a little bit but it'll go away. And some language, if you're not into that. He was so nervous about painting them. Despite already doing them before and being an Illustrator /artist, who hand creates our Christmas cards every year. I'm thankful it wasn't worse than this. Trying to keep spirits up. We're having to postpone and reschedule our honeymoon/1st anniversary trip. Even tho I could have been worse, I couldn't keep looking at my toes, especially if they were gonna be exposed more than usual. 😅 We got this! Happy 626 Day!! 🌺 For us, it's the day we decided to be together. Not legally, not yet anyway. 7 years together!! 🥰🫶🏽 Lucky 7. It's not our marriage anniversary, not til November (heaven willing). That's in 5 months, but I like to acknowledge the day, and time; It's the first step when taking things further. Especially for someone who never thought it would go this far. Forever thankful. I just wanted someone to stand next to me, who would laugh at my snarky remarks about anything. And if I was lucky, that would laugh, agree, and banter right back to me. I got that and so much more. There's so much left to see, do, and learn from one another, and I'm excited about it. Happy Father's Day to my gruñón (I say that as a term of endearment): my papá. 🧔🏽 It's been a minute since I've posted. He didn't want to take a picture with us today and that's ok, and understandable; it's not as if I don't have any pictures with him. (Thank you, David!) To the man who said "she does what she wants" when Richard asked for his blessing. 😆🫶🏽 (I do.) Only because I knew it would be nice if he was asked and he would appreciate it. One of the reasons why I said 'let's have a simple wedding and wedding reception' just so that I don't regret getting not having my father/daughter dance. No ragrets. 😁 I know life hasn't been a straight line and filled with struggles, sacrifices, and I'm thankful for everything that he's done for us. Big or small. Happy Father's Day to all my dads. Hey, 39! 🥳🫶🏽🥰 Happy 40 Birthday Eve! ✨ I wanted to celebrate it but not bring it in too big (I'm still partied out from November). I can't wait for 40 but I'm definitely going to embrace and take in being 39 for now. I celebrated for a bit a day before with one of the besties. Had been meaning to see him before my birthday. Was treated to food and gifts (even tho it was all in 1 bag, I'll consider it as multiple). Where? Twin Peaks. 😁 Day of? With my sweet husband, who was powering through feeling iffy (reason why he's not pictured). Luckily, he started to feel a bit better after the movie. For less than $12, we got 2 movie tickets, a large popcorn and a large drink. Movie was good. Did 1.5 jump scares. The girl was terrifying, for me anyway, to where it hurt my stomach. I'm sensitive, y'all. 🥺 My tummy anyway. Food, cake(!!!), presents, and more entertainment at home - that's all I wanted and needed. Thank you for the birthday wishes, I will get to them soon. 2025 was ...bittersweet. I married my better half, my Pinpónsito. Planned for the event, worked on majority of the decor and invites. Putting our creative juices to the test. Along with my nerves. 😅 It was beautiful to see that day come to be and celebrate it. Getting to see our close family and friends come together. Overwhelming with so much joy. Within this year, I had to say goodbye to two of my aunts. Grief still comes and goes. Remembering them randomly at times. Also remembering the good. Keeping those good thoughts close to the heart. In between those events, other great things: renewing our apartment lease, another girlfriend of mine getting married, another one expecting, getting our marriage license, my nephew graduating and going to A&M, our first snow day at the apartment, seeing my bff's baby girl, Easter with Richard's family, Joshy coming to town and seeing him play, wedding dress shopping, seeing my friends ...both old and new.. OUR 20TH High School reunion!!?? ...and my little adventures with Richard. I'm hoping that 2026 is peaceful. Filled with more adventures. Bigger ones. Good food! Joy and more laughter. More love. Lots of it. Did I mention peace? I did learn from it. Just like from anything, learning something, anything, from any event is good. I'd like to think so. Merry Christmas from our little family to yours!! 🎄💌🎁 It's been a year ... 😅 The last half of it has been a little crazy, but I'm glad that I was able to create these with Richard once again. That and I did not want you all to come after me with pitchforks and tiki torches such as that one year when we couldn't put them out because we were moving into the new apartment. I did not know you liked them this much. Not as intricate as the others but still just as sweet. Note: order stamps online in November because post offices seem to no longer carry fun holiday stamps. No, we didn't forget this year, but Christmas cards are on their way. Not as colorful as I had wanted it to be, but still adorbz. Here's a tease, cause it's me. We have an idea for next year! Would it be as good as our wedding invite? Prolly no. Would it be as good as our shaker card? ...maybe? And thank you cards are also going to be mailed sometime in January. According to @theknot , I have 3 months! 🫶🏽😅 They've been put together but, ya know... the holidays. Oh, and wedding pictures are in. Over 1,000. Still haven't gone through them. Cause, the holidays.
