“Playback” — a short film directed by @darylmansu.

It’s crazy how making something small can remind you why you started creating in the first place.

"Playback" is my first passion project in years. Somewhere along the way, between client work, deadlines and the pace of the industry, I’d forgotten what it felt like to create simply because a story deserved to be told. This was only made possible by collaborating with amazing like minded talents. There was no pressure to chase trends or expectations - just a group of people coming together to make something honest.
Thank you @bijoubaidoe for such a beautiful story and performance, and to everyone who poured their hearts into bringing it to life. Super grateful to be able to create with you guys. Love 🏆🎬

“Time was not on our side. What was supposed to be a one-day shoot ended up stretching till the next day. The surgery room scene, which was filmed in a real hospital, was shot at 5:00 AM the next morning. Some of the actors also didn’t show up, so we had to use real-life surgeons in the hospital for that scene! I’m sure that was their first time performing a surgery on a shoe, so it was great fun for us all. Overall, I enjoyed the process!” - Fred Walker, director
